MAPPING Importing houses.xml HOW TO

Hello! I have a realmap without houses tho. But since everything is in the exactly same position i tought that i could just take the house.xml info from a datapack that had them all and fix town id to match everything!
But no steps forward at all..

So is there a way to successfully import houses from one map to another?

All kind of help appreciated!

Doubt that, since your map coords (house coords) and map size(eg. 32k by 32k) would require to be the exact same as in the map you want to take houses from.

PSA:
On realmap it's especially better when you put the real tibia coords on your real map, so there won't be any minimap overwriting.

The cords are at the exact same place. I dont see why the map size should matter tho!

This thread is about how to import houses, not how to be sarcastic and rude.

@danne3131 As long as the house file name is the same as the one in Map>Properties, it should work I believe. According to a quick test I just did.

Save the broken one with the appropriate house file name in Map>Properties, then close it. Copy the proper house file into the directory, give it the same name. Open the broken one. It should have the houses, assuming that all the positions and town ids and everything are correct. It worked for me but I'm not sure why since the house file only stores the entry position and the size, not the actual tile positions (in my case the tiles were not uniform, they were not in a square.

@RazorBlade I Spoke to Mark and he believes door id etc are stored in the .otbm..
I have tried the same as u did tho, without any steps further.
