openChannelDialog() doesn't seem to be in your distro, I would suggest finding the function in another and implementing it to yours. Or if you already haven't you can try this version: CreatureEvent - Advanced Checkpoint System (based on my own request and the work of Cyko)

Looks like you have to add 2 functions in that case, if you tested the function I posted above and trying to just send a message to that channel you will have to do some source edits.
