GM's have a very sophisticated way of finding cheaters so you shouldn't be afraid to play as long as you don't cheat.

S: do you? really? i can and many players do change their location, but again who cares.

I am sorry for block of text. I simply have some doubts about this ot.
I really like strict antibot and anti-mc policy this server has but I have few questions.

1.
What if I use some kind of internet gate and free VPN?
Is there a possibilty that some other player use exactly the same program and we both have the same/similar IP adress and we both play here?
That would mean that for GM we seem to be cheating (looks like one person behind two chars)
when in reality there is no connection between us.
I ask about it because I don't have any knowledge in this matter whatsoever.
What if in this scenario GM teleports to one of us and other one is AFK and isn't responding to GM orders?
Will both get banned?
Just one? Which one?
Can two unrelated players cause eachother bans for having same IP's (is it even possible?)

2.
What when I login on my account from few different IP adresses every day?
Let's say I travel a lot and playing on my laptop and I use different wifi in my work, different one in the train etc.?
For a first sight it might look like I am sharing my account when in reality I am just busy person.

3.
Let's say I travel to my buddy house.
His house, his wifi.
I connect to it.
I login on my account.
We both play from same IP for a while.
Later I find out that this buddy happens to be a cheater, mcer.
Does this make me a cheater or someone who appears to be a cheater in GM eyes?
Will my character face the consequences even if I am totally fair and genuine player who never cheated nor used mc?

4.
If GM appears next to me and wants something from me if I don't answer immediately will I get banned?
Is there a certain period of time in which I have to answer back?
Is there any exploit, any imaginary scenario in which player might be judged to harshly that I am unaware of?
Is there a possibilty that GM comes to me while I am AFK and types something and wait for my response and my character is muted at time or my keyboard is locked or broken or I play on laptop with defective keyboard or anything else I can't come up with that won't let me respond.

5.
What if I and my friend both playing from same IP.
GM teleport to us to check us and suspect us of cheating.
He asks us to execute certain action (like moving bag on the floor to eachother or give some math quiz to solve).
And at this time one of us is in the toilet or doing something away from keyboard.
He actually could ban one of us, both of us as multi clienters when in fact we both fair.
IP doesn't unequivocally identify a person, it's merely an outside address of your last router. Multiple players can have one IP, and multiple IPs can be used by one player. In most cases it's also easy to tell who's connected via VPN.

These questions have been answered in our FAQ:

Q: I am playing with brother on the same IP, will we get banned for multi-client?
A: No, sharing IP is not illegal. It alone does not imply multi-client (neither does different IP prove it's not multi-client). As long as each of you are playing only one character at a time - you don't break the rules.

Q: I use GPN and/or VPN services, will I get banned?
A: No, using such services is not illegal and sometimes even recommended, e.g. when you live far from the host and your connection route is not optimal. Using a GPN or VPN alone will not lead to banishment, however you cannot use it in order to play more than one character at a time. As long as you are playing only one character - you don't break the rules.

woah tibiantis back guard. who cares.
S: do you? really? i can and many players do change their location, but again who cares.
there are plenty of other servers where you can cheat if you'd like

tldr; just don't cheat and you'll be fine.

new world of tibiantis could be made even now, but it should have different pvp (i mean either non pvp, or hardcore pvp) so people wouldnt move from one world to another. so yea, lets do it boys, let inferna have her second life !!!!!

I've tried this server for few days and I am really amazed by it's quality and liitle letdown by one thing.
I have only one conclusion:
Really cool, top tier server totaly distorted, warped and taken over by bedmages.

Next edition consider blocking bedmages.
On the one side you ban people for cheating, mcing, breaking rules etc. (and thats good, thats how it supposed to be)
On the other side I saw few guys (or it could be just one dude) who reloged more than 30+ characters in house.
How it isn't gamebreaking I simply cannot wrap my head around it.
It's like server is full of hypocrites.
There is this loud in your face strict antibot policy and at the same time silent acceptance/involvment of people getting runes like that.
What when someone has 100 or more bedmages and more houses/guildhouses.
Doesn't that give him unfair advantage over the rest of players?

So for me for now Tibianitis is a no-go for now but maybe in the future when it get solved properly I'll play again.

Tibiantis has no editions.

While we are open for suggestions, these complaints seem to be more in context of "someone put his time and effort into setting up bedmages, I didn't, so it's unfair" rather than based on a proper unbiased analysis. Bedmaging isn't something that Tibiantis came up with really. It is as old as beds in Tibia (in fact, in some ways it was already nerfed here as compared to real 7.4.), and it never was considered cheating. So what is that "silent acceptance" or "hypocrisy" you're referring to?

Bed regen is as slow as 1 mana point per minute, needs constant feeding, you can only own one house per account and guildhouses can only be held by active guilds (which require 5 separate premmed accounts of level 20 or above, where each account can only count for one guild). You're also limited to 8 characters on one account.
Nerfing it further seems pointless, because as long as one character can have a lil benefit from sleeping, so can 10 or 100 characters. Disabling it completly, you will also disable it for "normal" players, not only those who pushed it that far.

Saying that bedmages took the world over also seems an exeggaration. The most of the runes production is still in hands of manasitters, simply because online mana regen is waaay faster. Runes prices on trade are close to the level of runes prices in real Tibia back in the days, even a bit more expensive. Means the market isn't getting flooded overall. Despite the fact it's not the server where people shoot 100 bps of runes casually.
Something you apparently don't take into consideration is also that these bedmaged-runes don't come from nowhere. It takes effort to set it up and is very tiresome in a long run (yes, I tried using bedmages myself in the past). So we might as well ask, what if someone puts all his time and effort straight into exping and get a high level, wouldn't he be in advantage either way?
There once was a guy who put equal effort into hunting guards and made it to the top 1 at the time, without a single bedmage.

Tibiantis' only problem is lack of content. But I have to agree bed mages suck as well.

exactly, unwilling to put effort in buying house and still under the illusion it can't be played without some kind of rune farm

new world hardcore pvp xD
both meaning of hardcore are stupid
If u mean pvp enfo, there s no reason to make new world when current one is doing fine
if u mean hardcore world in tibia, then yeah. Even worse idea comparing to the 1st one
won't even comment that idea about exiva, you seem to be very creative like some 1 player max server owners
If this server is not "hardcore" enough, then what is your term of hardcore. I quess u haven't met harder monster than rotworm yet

there is no reason to make new SAME world, when current one is doing fine, and thats exactly, why if new server would be open, it must be unique.

wont comment rest of your "closed in box mind" things.

no exiva world would create completly different play style,

There are also houses and guildhalls coming onto the market all of the time, or you can save and buy one directly from a player. Property is and always has been a high value asset, no one is entitled to own a house as soon as they make an account... Just like no one is entitled to be given an e-plate when they make an account. I started a year after the server released, first house was a 1 bed in a poor location. Waited and traded up to a 2 bed, missed out on auctions and finally won so moved to a better. Made money and haggled and got other locations etc etc. But took work and still making runes manually or hunting profitable areas is where the bulk of rune supplies come from. No one is macroing bed mages, so if someone is utilizing them to the max and has many, it would be the most tedious boring thing to manage and absorb your whole day resupplying getting premmy paying rents and logging various characters every hour.

The admins have made it pretty clear they have no intention to release another server or wipe this one. This isn't a high rates orsh server, there are turnovers of players being active and coming back. You can start now and get yourself into the top 20 if you put the effort in within months.

You people complaining about makers and think that is the problem? Lmfao

Imagine if acc sharing got punished as mcing and such like back in the days. 99% of the highscore would have been gone a year ago and the server would have been dead. Every single character above 100 has been traded back and forward and shared, played and fought on by at least 5-6 different guys.
How many people have played Niklas? That char should have changed name like 15 times by now.

If you want authenticity, then go all in or don't attempt it at all. Cherry picking what rules to follow and not, is not it.

Why would they be punished when it's not disallowed by the rules? I don't get it.

Not even close to how I remember those days. Barely anyone had been getting banned, and when they had it was cherrypicking at its best. Couldn't have been different given the fact at some point Tibia had more game worlds than active gamemasters who were also merely volunteers with very limited power.

Since you claim to be the most authentic server I assumed you would have the same rules, I was wrong. What days are we talking about? Around 7.4-7.6 was probably the beginning of the peak for account sharing in Nova. I am not sure where you played. You are talking about multiple game worlds while you only have one currently. It would not be a problem at all to maintain. But I assume the reasons are financial and for the longevity of the server. I just dislike the fact you simply choose on your own what rules should exist or not, while attempting to maintain how tibia was back then.

Obviously we are to choose what rules should exist in our server, who else? <confused>
Speaking of Tibia rules, I wonder if you would be happy today with bans for luring, uhtraps, pking and so, that you probably consider a part of old times. Yes, people did get banned for that in Tibia (even deleted). I wonder if you'd also be happy for having gamemasters among players, and with nearly no power to check for actual rules violations, but with full ability to ban enemy guilds memebers (that happened too).

We rather have the rules and tools adjusted to these days and reality, than copy Tibia rules and do a cherrypicking, as they did. Because cherrypicking is basically the definition of Tibia rules enforcement back then. It's one of those things that people generally don't want back.

You are talking about multiple game worlds while you only have one currently.
I was referring to your statement as if sharing didn't go around in Tibia back then.
