Any of the OpenTibia predecessors?

Hi, I was a member for a long time on OTFans (well I still am, but not active), used to post Lua scripts and I also had a server, but I've been away from all that.

My question is, have you or any of the OpenTibia predecessors (not talking about OpenTibia/OTFans but OT in general) has ever been contacted by CIPSoft?

And probably a more "controversial" question, what happened between OTFans and OTLand? I remember back when I was active in both forums, neither would mention the other forum's name at all

IDK, probably OTFans wanted to keep all users on their forum and did not like that someone created own OTS engine (TFS vs otserv) and own forum (OTLand vs OTFans).
When OTFans went down, owner suggested to use OTLand ( OTFans dead o.O? (https://otland.net/threads/otfans-dead-o-o.170805/) )

Never heard about anything like that. Only about fake mails sent from other OTS owners to scary their competitors.
I heard from someone - IDK if it's truth or some tibia legend - that someone made game using Tibia sprites and released it on Steam or Google Play and it was taken down for copyright infringement.
