Hello folks, today I will re-introduce you to Tibiara and it's origin story.

I still remember my first days playing Tibia. I spent hours killing rats, thinking that was all Rookgaard had to offer, until I discovered there was so much more to explore. When I finally took my first steps outside of Rookgaard, I started killing snakes and wandered further and further, clueless about how to find my way back. Then, I saw an orc spearman. I ran for my life, straight into a cave—only to realize I didn’t have a rope.

That’s when I saw my first dead human body. Terrified, I nearly lost it as a poison spider came rushing toward me. At that moment, I knew I was about to share the same fate. With no equipment and no way to escape, I lost everything—but I’d never had so much fun in a game before. I learned a valuable lesson that day: never enter a cave without a rope.

I absolutely loved the Tibia 7.4 era—it was simply different. Death in the game had real meaning, and it genuinely hurt to lose progress which also meant that progress and reaching goals was incredibly rewarding, it was the best feeling ever to level up. But not just that. I’ll never forget the moment I traveled on foot from Thais to Venore, only to encounter a giant spider along the way. I barely survived, just to finally buy a fire sword (yes, I was too broke for premium XD) and see what else this incredible world had to offer. It was pure fascination and adventure.

Later my brother introduced me to Open Tibia, and I fell in love with the idea of it. I really loved the idea of taking existing Tibia and creating upon it and taking a different direction that CipSoft had begun. So I began creating my own server, "World War," which became quite popular at the time. My real goal, however, was always to recreate what was in my opinion the best era of Tibia, simply put it: a 7.4 world, but achieving true authenticity was always a challenge. Despite having a solid player base of 300–400 players on servers like "RealTibia.org" and its high-rate variant, "Demonia.org," I was never satisfied. I wanted the true Tibia 7.4 experience.

I initially started with the TFS 0.4 engine and later transitioned to TFS 1.x, striving to recreate an authentic 7.4 Tibia experience. However, my efforts were in vain. Then, I heard about "TheVioletProject" by @Ezzz , which promised a more authentic approach. Using it, players often believed my server was an actual CipSoft server. While impressive, it still wasn’t enough for me—I wanted 100% accuracy. During a conversation with @Ezzz and @Rawesh , we all shared this same vision: to recreate the original 7.7 Tibia engine by reverse-engineering the leaked files. This vision led to the creation of the Revol Engine, marking a significant milestone to reach a true 7.4 server. It was not easy at all to achieve not only a true 7.7 RE engine but also then later on to succesfully downgrade it to 7.4 but thanks to good efforts from all three of us but specially from @Ezzz who put in alot of time and sweat into it we were able to reach what we find as perfection, a goal we've shared between us for a long time now.

You’re probably thinking, "What? Another server?" Yes, another server—but also something entirely different. Before switching to the Revol Engine for Tibiara, I spent years working on an OTClient. This wasn’t just any OTClient—it was refined down to the smallest detail to not only resemble the original Tibia client but to surpass it in every way.

From a fully revamped UI to an overhauled walking system, this client leaves nothing to be desired when compared to the original. Everyone who has tried it so far has called it the best OTClient they’ve ever played. It’s a seamless blend of familiarity and innovation, designed to elevate the Tibia experience.

Although Ankrahmun became part of the real Tibia map with version 7.3, we believe that this update disrupted the spirit of the 7.4 era. The journey to spawns, which used to feel like an adventure, suddenly became too easy and close by. For this reason, we have decided to make Ankrahmun inaccessible for now.

We are currently working on a custom version of that part of the map, as we truly love the mystery surrounding the djinns and pharaohs and want to bring that feeling to life in our own way. While we remain true to the original 7.4 version, which is why content like Port Hope does not exist, we have expanded certain hunting areas to provide more opportunities for adventure and exploration.

We place great importance on keeping everything that affects the core gameplay exactly as it was back then. However, we still want to include some new elements that can enhance the experience. These features will be entirely optional and can be toggled on or off, such as outfit shaders and auras.

Exhaust System
Tibia 7.4 had an exhaust system that separated player actions into aggressive and non-aggressive categories.
Aggressive actions like attacking had longer cooldowns than non-aggressive actions like healing.

Overspawn System
In Tibia 7.4, the spawn system would spawn creatures in a clockwise manner on a spawn. This means that players could predict where the creatures would spawn and prepare accordingly. Each creature had its own specific spawn location and would respawn after a fixed period of time after being killed. And yes as shown below, overspawn will be a feature.

Monsters AI and Loot
Loot on Spawn: Monsters spawn fully equipped with their loot, reflecting their abilities.
Advanced Pathfinding: Ranged monsters dynamically adjust their positioning based on their target.
Target Focus: Monsters and summons consistently face their target, even if it's unreachable.
Improved Target Lock: Monsters won’t reset targets instantly with rapid floor switching, ensuring consistent behavior.

Monster Actions and Exhaust Mechanics
Unlike most OT servers that use cooldowns, creatures in original Tibia could perform all of their attacks at once within a single time interval.
Ranged monsters, for example, take action every second from a distance and can launch an extra attack while on the move. This makes them more likely to stack or spam attacks when closing in on—or retreating from—their target.
If monsters enter melee range, they switch to casting spells every two seconds, adjusting their combat rhythm accordingly.

Spell System
Spells function using their original incantation words, just like in the classic version!
Quotation marks are unnecessary if there is only one parameter.

Summon System
The intelligence of summons has been improved, as they now have more accurate pathfinding and will stand 1 tile diagonally or 2 tiles in a direct line. Additionally, summons will move out of the player's way instead of walking in the same direction as the player. If the summon's master has no way to reach the player, the summon will continue to attack instead of giving up the attack.

Push Mechanics
Just like in classic Tibia, moving does not interrupt a push that has already been initiated.

From a technical perspective, our possibilities are nearly limitless. In the future, this will allow us to integrate different versions, such as version 8.1, directly into our client. As a result, players will be able to switch between worlds seamlessly, without the need to change clients. While the plan is to make it easy to switch between worlds they do not share anything incommon other than only needing one account and one client. These worlds will be separated and not related in any other way to stay true to 7.4 legacy.

We don’t think it’s necessary to mention this, but we’ll do so anyway: the worlds we launch, along with their rate configurations, will never be reset.

We want to make it absolutely clear that we do not, under any circumstances, support nor allow the use of third-party software. Furthermore, multiclienting is strictly forbidden. Any violations of these rules will result in the permanent deletion of all accounts linked to the offending player. It is essential to follow the rules outlined on our website, as they are strictly enforced to maintain a fair and enjoyable experience for all players.

We would also like to mention that the equipment stats and quest rewards have been slightly adjusted. However, the final list of changes will be available on our Discord. So, stay tuned and keep an eye out for updates!

Good luck with the project, but honestly it feels like I've read this same text several times XD, yet another 7.4. What attracts players to a 7.4 nowadays are the custom changes believe it or not, so you could list out what are the custom changes. A raw 7.4 is doomed to failure 100% chance.

While I understand where you come from and what your point is, I have to partially disagree.

All these custom OT with custom changes that claim to be 7.4 are all fast paced do not survive longer than a month... Infact if you look at longevity it's ironically the vanilla low rate 7.4 servers that has survived the longest.

It's also not going to be 100% fully vanilla forever either hence why we are sticking to OTC. More content and custom stuff will be added over time once we recieve some feedback from players. There is already some custom stuff and we are planning some more before a launch but we have not yet 100% decided what's going to be in the launch therefore I cannot list any guaranteed custom stuff just to be transparent.

We just want to start off quite vanilla and carefully evolve into something players can enjoy but still stick to true classic feeling.

It's also a very niche thing, it's not meant for everyone and never was planned to satisfy everyone. However I do hope players can give it a chance and see what we have to offer.

With that said we do welcome all kinds of feedback and we definitely were counting on some backlash about it being just another 7.4 server and well it's up to us to make it worth it for the player to enjoy the gameplay so we will definitely do our best to deliver that.

By custom change I mean even the smallest changes. The most sucessful 7.4 of today time is Miracle, and I will say what makes it successful are its minor but decent custom changes such as the equipment rarity system. If your OT is an exact replica (in terms of content and server features, regardless of client) of 7.4, it will quickly become boring. I believe the key are custom changes that give the special touch to 7.4 while not disrupting the essence too much.

On the other hand we have Tibiantis which is too vanilla, with barely no extra custom feature except for extra custom content. And that is why it isn't as popular as before. However it is easy to go wrong and add too much custom features. I feel the less features the better, but you still need some good custom features that adds extra sauce to the economy and grinding nature of the game.

I definetly agree and it's why we want to be careful and find a sweetspot for a good balance. We really appriciate any and all feedback/opinion we can get so we can plan ahead for the future.

Thank you for your feedback!

Not a feedback because I have not tested your server but what I can say is that you need to understand what people sepnds most of their time doing in a 7.4 and think about features that will enhance that gameplay in a interesting long-term way, specially in terms of how much it affects the economy in a good way. So if people spend 80% of the time either rune making or grinding creatures, features that brings more fun and improves economy around those activities are the key game changer. Once again the equipment rarity system is a perfect example, it adds endless versions of the same loot which is translate to a more rewarding grinding experience + a more interesting economy as there will be a wider variety of stuff to sell and buy. It is just one example but that's how I see how you can achieve the best of a 7.4: by understanding what a 7.4 core gameplay is about and enhancing that gameplay with few, simple to understand but impactful features.

I'd say the worst path is a path like cipsoft's Tibia, where features are just a way to make people spend more time in the game while also spending more cash, so they just add layers and layers of features that are not special but are just a way for you to spend more cash and time to progress faster. If you could summarize most of TIbia's new feature they are essentialy a "boost" button that boosts you (or saves your time) for a cost ($), like a mobile game does, its very stupid, and people only keep using it because of the psychological trigger, like an addiction, not because it is in fact adding to a fun experience. This is why I am not fan of any type of "task" system, that does not add any actual extra fun to the game or to the economy but rather is just a psychological trigger. In the end it becomes more of a burden than a reward, even if you get a exp or gold reward for the task, it is more like you are punished for not doing it than the opposite.

This is exactly what we strive for. We also do not rush with updates but have plans to add them at some point.

That's a reason why we removed Ankrahmun and made it inaccessible for now.

We’d also like to share that features, such as a task system, will not be part of the game. However, we still think about the introduction of an addon system for outfits. We will almost certainly add shaders and auras for outfits at a later point. However, players will have the option to disable them on the client side if they prefer not to display them. For potential content and quest expansions, we don’t have anything to share at the moment.

task system is a cancer, but way of achievements is quite a nice way to show off for others to others. take a peek @my old TDS topic, but still - this is nowhere comparative to your project. however i was waiting for it for ages, still - just things to make player proud of HIS OWN.

edit

by achievements i mean (IF) rewards are not exp, eq pieces. more like access to talk to given npcs, being able to visit certain areas, get a mention on a Town Table (some kind of in-game high score table)

Hosted where? is it a TRUE replica or something alike like Tibiantis?

IIRC Tibiantis is not "OT"/"TFS" engine but a fully RE from the leaked tarball (someone correct me if I am wrong, I don't want to make assumptions)
We also went with that path, we're not using TFS or any other types of "OT" engine but rather a RE engine from the leaked tarball.

The plan is to host gameserver in NA with multiple proxies to help out players from SA & EU to also enjoy the fun :)!

Host it in EU please so we get a Tibiantis style server that last for years :)

I know there are tons of 7.4 projects out there using TVP, but Danger II offers one of the cleanest gameplay experiences, with no p2w options, and he has a legitimate chance at having a long term project. He is professional, patient, and best of all an avid fan of the 7.4 experience. No single server is perfect for every player, but I can say confidently, that Tibiara will offer a solid opportunity to those who want a great 7.4 nostalgic experience. Highly recommended

The first world will be hosted in a popular common location in the USA (Ashburn), primarily catering to the North and South American player base. With the support of a proxy system, connection quality will be further optimized for these players, while also ensuring that European players can enjoy the server with the best possible connection. By mentioning 'first,' I do not exclude the possibility of additional worlds in the future.

Xp stages?
