perfect timing? these kinds of basic - not to say trivial - features should’ve been there from the very start of Tibiantis
These changes are purely cosmetic. Not important at all

Who waits until the server goes from 800 to 150 to start adding ui friendly changes to the client 🙈

You cannot have both things if you do not hire additional person to do stuff meanwhile your 3 man army still fights vs mc/bot thing on 700-800 online users
I agree with you that it's stupid decision that's too late however server would drop players no matter what happens (even updates etc = playerbase going down, they were there because there was no server to play + lot of streamers did the job)

And we thank the service of these three men, I really do. Yet, as the same Kay has stated, not literally as I'm about to say but in some soft, indirectly version or at least that's what I understood from long and consistent discussions about his server: their capability of controlling bots and macros is directly proportional to the amount of players, meaning, the more people play the chances of cheaters cheating increases. It's obvious tho no server can do much about. They do things right and well. But the lecture here is they can't grow as much as we'd love to. In other words, they can't open a second world and they can't update the content because they can't handle it, then 100 player-base is intentional and is not gonna move from there ever.

Sorry, but it's not what I really stated. 🫤

you are really retarded
anybody who knows Kay also knows that he’s incapable of agreement. It literally is out of his character capacity

He’s the “acuary” nerd meme personified.

He already had this 3 man army when the server WAS at 800. They did a spectacular job. That isn’t the problem clearly. Why he can’t deliver updates on time is in no way related to the player base. He had the same lack of delivery when the serv was dead before the growth due to wars. It’s an Indian leading instead of a chief. Not good.

truly I think Kay’s dream is a successful server he himself was responsible for killing. He couldn’t do it as a pk griefer, so he assured he couldn’t fail as owner.

Isn't it odd that we condemn the creators actions and the creator hacks our illusions all because we want a piece of it on our own parameters? we're like a dog chasing a cars wheel when he reaches it, he doesn't know what to do with it.

Honestly, I care very little whether there is a content update or no... I don't have the infrastructure to enjoy it right now. At the pace devs take to create or add new things here an NA server might come in 2-3 years from now...

No we condemn them for ignoring the community’s desires over their own.

That and hypocrisy usually trigger most ppl

"As of June 30th the following changes to the Rule 5 will come into force: the duration of the automatic ban for exceeding the unjustified kills limit will be derived directly from the number of prior bans imposed for the same reason on the given account. The first ban will be applied for 7 days (as was until now), but the second for 30 days, and each subsequent one for 30 days longer than the pervious one. The limit for unjustified kills remains as is."

And i remember playing year ago (maybe more) where exodia characters of lvl 40 went into noob chars and ue everyone without cooldown, record was 2 or 3 characters in one day. For me it didn't matter because i had lot of fun dying or not, but few people started to complain on discord that the rule should change.
And here we go, 1 year later after stating that they will not change this mechanics, we have "UE 30+" project added. Own desire > community

What happened between this time is my thought?

In the old Tibia excessive killing eventually resulted in account deletion, after third or fourth ban. But we knew that such a system would be highly abused nowadays. We didn't want to favor the abuse of noob chars in wars, or pvp in general, which is why we originally made it just 7-day ban each time. Eventually, this led to people start abusing the system in other ways, not only by getting ban after ban, but also (e.g.) to escape death. So we decided to change it to something inbetween (you still don't get deleted like in the old Tibia, but subsequent bans will be longer).

It's a double-edged sword, if the punishment was too harsh it would've been abused too, and maybe even worse. It's not our fault that players tend to go to extremes in abusing every mechanic and every weakness. We were not the ones who invented them either. If we were creating a new game, we would also create a new, completely different system. This is an old Tibia server though, and all we can do is try to tweak some things to find a 'golden mean', but only within its original mechanics.

Yes, we didn't want to change it at that time for the reason explained above, but I absolutely did not promise you that we would never change it in any way. And I don't promise that we won't change it again in the future. It depends mostly on what players do with it, not my "desire". So far, I have only seen positive response from the community (i.e. those who do play, not those who have only been sitting on the forum posting nonsense for a few years).

Dear Players,

The long-awaited update is finally here. We'd like to hereby present to you the changes that the updated has introduced. The changes can be categorised into four types: new custom content, changes and fixes to the existing custom content, fixes regarding congruity with 7.4, and changes to the game client. All will be briefly discussed here.

As announced, the new update is an expansion to the Aruthang content. It includes new areas and 5 new mobs to hunt, varying in power: trilobite, monstrous snail, giant crayfish, tentacle spawn, and tentacle horror. There is also a new epic quest and a few minor missions. If you're wondering what an epic quest is, you can read all about it in the article we linked at the end. We'd hate to spoil your adventures, so we will just say this: start your exploration by talking to the new NPC on Aruthang–Jim. The new update also introduces new raids, including a number of new bosses of varying strength–and not only on Aruthang but in other areas as well.

We also announced that the changes would affect the whole island, and they indeed have. We adjusted the balance for underworms and magma beasts. The respawn of the latter was also tweaked and extended. We also increased the respawn of kobolds, as well as troglodytes in one of the tunnels. Moreover, there are new houses and new mailboxes on the island. The location of the post/customs is now a protection zone, just like the dormitory in Little Kazo, and the temple has been expanded. All of the Aruthang NPCs, and many others who have custom dialogues, have been reviewed by a language expert. In total, more than 70 NPCs have been improved. The changes were mostly grammatical and stylistic corrections (not affecting quest progress). Also, the content of previously added books and texts has been reviewed and improved. Numerous fixes were applied all over the whole map–the original areas received fixes that bring their look closer to 7.4, while the custom areas were updated to fix our own errors and mistakes.

Having mentioned 7.4, we'd also like to mention the improvements to the mechanics of the game regarding the congruity with that version. The most significant change here probably is disabling travel for chars with pz-lock. Not many players remember that, but 7.4 did not allow travel on pz-lock, which is why we reinstated that rule. Moreover, the so-called overspawn has also been fixed. Initially, we said that it triggered over a distance of more than 10 squares, and this was true–for most spawns. There were some exceptions though, and these exceptions have now been included in our game as well. Furthermore, the magic field mechanics has also been improved, and from now on the "temporary" fields will not overwrite those that are on the map permanently (though they can, of course, still be removed with a destroy field rune). There's a number of other details that's been fixed as well, but to keep it short and crisp, we will limit ourselves to presenting only the main and most significant changes.

The new update arrives with a new game client as well. It has been enhanced with new features, mostly based on your suggestions and ideas on the forum. From now on, you'll be able to: use the "remember password" functionality, easily set the key for toggling WASD walking, and take automatic screenshots. Moreover, you can set the client to always open the guild chat, while guild leaders are able to send notifications to all guild members–this can be set on you guilds webpage (you must be logged in) by clicking on the "Change" button. Furthermore, we'd like to invite you to check out the borderless mode–enhanced fullscreen mode, thanks to which you should be able to open more containers while still maintaining easy access to other windows beside the client. By the way, all the custom features are now available in the general options menu, therefore the '+' button above the equipment has been removed. You'll probably notice that the general options menu now features an option to select a sprite pack. And such functionality has indeed been implemented. However, sprite packs will be added later, and they'll be automatically downloaded by the auto-updater (which, as it happens, has undergone some changes as well).

As we mentioned before, this is only a general overview of the introduced changes. You can inquire about the details in the comments as well as on our discord. We'll happily answer all your questions (provided, of course, that the answers wouldn't spoil your game). We'd also like to ask you to report all errors, issues, and bugs resulting from the newest changes.

If you're curious how the updates are created and what are their objectives, we cordially invite you to read our latest article on this very topic. Feel also invited to check out our update teasers: Teaser I, Teaser II, Teaser III.
