Creating a little "scene" or "display" for items with existing sprites might help you think of matching items to make and colors to use, but I must be honest when I say that the quality is already pretty good, especially in terms of contrast, your coloring seems to be in order.

That's your individual style and be proud of it, it looks very nice! Also the other tibia items don't always fit with each other inbetween updates.
