But for BR players? There's no good anti ddos by default
You can read about proxy system
I recommend OvH or Hetzner

They are both useless.I recommend OvH or Hetzner

rubinot.com.br) host in Neep datacenter: https://neep.com.br/OTCv8 proxy system on/off does not matter.
Hetzner anti-ddos is/was useless.
He started in 2024 and he still attacks all new OTSes/new OTS editions. No matter, if it's 500+ or 10+ online OTS.raw.exe is still active, kekw?![]()

Yes I agree, anyways gamer cpu are really expensive.Visually there are no options with "Gamer" CPU, only Xeon.
It's ok. But guys I wonder, how much are you willing to pay for a VPS? As I see. Additional vCores won't be an issue even if TFS is single-thread, at least for what I expect to do with it. Generally I host with windows (which is more confortable for me) and the other vCores will handle the other processes (UniServer which is multi-thread, and all the windows shit, background processes, etc.). Database MariaDB/MySQL is multi-threaded too, so why would I expend more cash on having a single core gaming processor if all I need is RAM?.This is really shitty...
I recommend ControlHost, as Mateus mentioned... Besides having strong protection, they also provide real-time support to help solve problems with DDoS.
He asked for something capable of supporting 1000+ players. A VPS with Xeon/Epyc (1.8-2.4Ghz) will hardly support more than 300-500 players. Maybe even less than 300.Yes I agree, anyways gamer cpu are really expensive.

I can be wrong for sure, that's why i'm writting this. Becuse for $ 17.09 BRL you can meet the requiered specs to run theforgottenserver properly (which is 6GB of RAM). It also offers anti-ddos and enought bandwith to go on. So why would I spend 80-400$ for dedic/month without incomes, for a starting server? Make more sense to spend $ 17.09 BRL/month and start your playerbase from there.
Thanks for that feedback! Because I didn't know the real relevance of a good processor on this. Definitely helped me out deciding what to do before hiring a VPS. Concluded that bhservers aren't shitty as @Bee King said, but, I understand is not what OP wants (1k players). He asked for something capable of supporting 1000+ players. I say it’s bad because I’ve already made the mistake of using a VPS from this company for a testing environment… any small issue outside the standard is enough to drop the connection. It’s much better to start a project on a solid foundation, and if needed, upgrade within the same company. I don’t think it’s viable to build a player base and put the server into production, even with just a few players, only to later spend a day or more on maintenance migrating to another machine because of poor choices. Thanks for that feedback! For further discussion, do you think a cheap VPS like this is a right approach for starting servers? If the reach is well done, owners shouldn't be seeking for multi-clients or overloaded conections that will traduce on inactive players. So probably, that traduces into + activity single ip = less spent resources?
Thanks for the reply. Probably hosting Windows is very amateur, haven't experienced with Linux. But I really like Windows enviroment, is there any viability of still using Windows and finding a good cheap option for hosting? What i'm looking for is a VPS that can be used in production without spending too much.I say it’s bad because I’ve already made the mistake of using a VPS from this company for a testing environment… any small issue outside the standard is enough to drop the connection. Definitely, bhservers crap, like I said hahaha.
Besides, raw.axe doesn’t go after servers with 500+ players—if he gets bored, he’ll attack a server with 10–20 people haha. And just by showing up raw.axe, makes bhservers melt down kkkkkk.
Besides, I saw you say that you host a server on Windows? wtf
I really recommend using a Linux VPS (preferably Ubuntu 22.04+). You can compile and run the server directly on it it’s much easier than it looks.haven't experienced with Linux.
