Does Anybody Remember TDS? - Tibia Darkside

Does anybody remember this server back in the day (even before they created their 8.3 Server) I think it was like 7.4-7.6ish? maybe a little later, but I remember how bad ass of an OT it was! Very Small custom map, but had elemental damage bonuses on weapons even before it was even thought of by real tibia!

As well as a loot luck bonus on items!

GM Xenus was a genius lol

Was definitely such an advanced server for its time, had lots of features tibia hadn't even thought about yet (EXP Share, Elemental damage, etc)

I met Evil Hero There years ago (Though I highly doubt he remembers who I am, or if he is even still active xD)

Yeah, I remember it. It was a cool server for its time. They tried to revive it many many years ago but it never happened. Crazy to see how long ago that was. Time sure does fly.

I truely miss that server. (The 7.1 version not whatever the 8.6 version was)

The stats on items were way before its time and I still miss hunting that hero spawn with explos, or even the dragon island with melee/hmm with a knight axe as there wasnt anything better in the map.

I reached out to Xenus recently but no response.

I believe his brother was the main brains behind the coding side of things, whereas Xenus did the map etc?

Also I remember how fun the necromancer vocation was.

I agree with everything you said here! I am a genius!

Nah, seriously though, it does make me genuinely happy to know that I'm not the only one missing TDS even after all this time. You all are killing me with these posts. In a good way! I do want to put some perspective on it though, I tried my best to do what I could for the server, I was pretty young and inexperienced in every way. But I could eventually navigate map making. The people who you probably want to give the genius moniker to is people like Tibia Rules, he self taught C++ and went from 0 to hero doing so. He made all of it possible. Quint, mad genius scripter that could make a lot of what we tried to accomplish feasible. UFO Ghorre, helping us with the DB and web site. And also all the mappers that helped me along the way. Like, Andy and Bartosz. Shout out to all of them as well

It was definitely a community project and effort.

I figured since everyone here is waxing nostalgic, I could post a few pictures of what I have.

I have attached only 5 max, but here is a link with what else I have, including some things that were never released. Makes me so sad how all of that was never hunted or quested in


I don't think I have any others, unfortunately. I wish I did though.

Sad I never got to play the 3.0 version. I remember the initial 7.1 version and still believe its the most fun server I played, even without all the bells and whistles of a newer client. Time for Xenus to rehost?
