I agree with @Nothxbye, when you are fighting the fps drop. Perhaps a standard fps limit higher than 60 (lets say around 80-120) would be more appropiated.

This two domains doesn't have to be the same domain you use to your players, as long as is related to the server IP. It's only for connecting purposes. You can have your normal IP and yet, to make your custom client work, you need 17-19 letter domains linked to the same IP.

make sure you added your domain-internal ip to hosts file in case you are running on windows. C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts ex: if your internal ip is 192.168.1.10 then add 192.168.1.10 yourserver.ip.com

Not sure what you need DDNS for, but in any case if you want to set a mask (domain name) to your ip, i recommend you no-ip.org
