Its actually not that stupid if you consider what he means.

He has a 300+ royal paladin on which he wants to hunt & rpg and he has other characters to go and war on.

However, if they keep killing his rp while he is above level 300 it takes him 4-5 hours to get that level back. Simply paying an amount to just enjoy the character & hunting is therefore not a bad idea.
