Creating content for the sake of baiting players into endless loop of fake grandeur ain't cool. What kept people engaged were possibilities of setting your own goals. Display rares in house with few MPA along with talons on top of blood herbs. Hosting events in guild houses. Hunting single bk spawn or pharaons for days. Making lootbags from guards weighting well over 100koz. Relentlessly hunting OF even when ur 200 like Bubble did. Top end guilds fighting for dominance over veno lair cause it was the most profitable spot and not so much over poi dls or warlocks cause it was overall waste and gold mattered more than levels. Having friends come visit u skilling while u been at it for weeks having collected bp dragon hams cause just chasing exp wasnt of upmost importance for them. Those were role models and how memories were imprinted so how did it end up so bad. Some devs let their imagination run too wild instead of retracing the steps and some decide to follow the wrong turn on a beaten path of Cips.
