This is the Discussion thread for the game I have been making along with it for the Tibia scene. First and foremost, this is discussion only, no recruiting, no advertisements going on per rules!

About the game:
The Ark is set to use class's, and ranks instead of levels. You can unlock these by doing assignments, quest, hunts, dungeons and much more! Spells have been replaced with abilities, these abilities can be grown stronger via the Fateweave which you can find more information below. The current map has allot to offer as it does use teleports along with exploration to it! Many spawns, many monsters, many hidden things!

You can find the Wiki HERE and the game website HERE

Arkenfall - The Ark, is a custom 2D game that emulates Tibia to a extent that you get the Tibia feelings within a certain means. The client is a custom built Godot client with a website client and IOS/APK client on the way also! Hopefully one day the mobile applications will be done but they are not at the top of my list as of right now. I focus on the local application then web application more so then others. I did use OTClient but found it not what I wanted, then moved to Unity and disliked their terms for what I was after so I ended up doing Godot and so far so good! Yes, I did in-corp some of the Tibia features but they seem to be in every game nowa day!

The server it's self is a Python first, Rust second system for hotpaths. The engine has been tested up to 15,000+ concurrent users across 7 servers with almost single digit readings which for this type of engine setup is amazing! Everything is server side auth. so it is pretty secure, along with a host of other things!

-----------------------------------

Think that sums up the features a bit, now lets move onto the class's a little bit and give you all idea on them!

Class's:

Everyone starts as a Drifter — no class picked at character creation. You awaken your calling through what you actually do in the world, and from there your branch of the Fateweave opens up. (On classless worlds you can skip callings entirely and build a hybrid from any spell you can find, buy, or earn — your hero, your problem.)

The four callings:

Warlock — fire · storm · death
The glass cannon. Ember Bolts and Cinder Lances that pierce whole lines, Arc Bolts that leap between enemies, and death magic that drains a foe's life to patch up your own. Push deep enough and you get Hellcore, an eruption that deletes whatever's standing around you.

Shaman — ice · nature · light
The one your party wants alive. Frost that chills and freezes, roots and creeping poison, and the only real healing kit in the game — mends over time, group heals, and a shield that eats a burst meant to kill you. Their ultimate, Glacier, is a killing winter.

Reaver — steel · fury
No mana bar babysitting, just violence. Cleave everything in front of you, Whirlwind everything around you, stun with Skullcrush, knock packs down with Ground Slam — and brace behind Iron Guard when it all goes wrong. Fury builds in combat and Berserk spends it on one savage hit.

Stalker — bow · shadow · venom
Fights the fight before you know it started. Piercing and split shots, stacking venom, a long-aimed Snipe for heavy criticals — plus Shadowstep blinks and a Ghostwalk vanish when things get personal. Their ultimate is exactly what it sounds like: Ambush.

On top of your calling there are five universal abilities everyone gets — a basic strike, a quick heal, a cleanse, haste, and light — so no build is ever completely stuck.

Ascendancies

Past your calling wait the specializations. Some are known — Necromancer, Pyromancer, Oracle, Stormcaller, Warlord, Sentinel, Deadeye, Nightblade — each ending in a signature ability at its Fateweave capstone (raising a shade to fight beside you, marking a foe for a single lethal strike, planting a war banner that empowers your whole party...). Some are hidden, and only reveal themselves to players who earn them. And a few only unlock when you fight together — you won't find those alone.

That's rolling out with the Ascendant Path. The Fateweave itself is already in the current client build if you want to poke at the tree: The Fateweave — Arkenfall - The Ark (https://2d.playarkenfall.com/fateweave)

Next lets talk about sprites!

In-Game Sprites:

So with me being a solo dev I don't have a spriter...Which means I do not have allot of sprites I can pick from. With that being said I have gathered sprites from around the forum's and added them. You will find OTSP, along with others that said was free to use! If you find your sprites in this game please simply send a DM or post here and you will get credits, but please be advised some people already appear in the credits section!

PLEASE NOT IMAGES AND INFORMATION ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME! THIS IS A ACTIVE AND DAILY WORKED ON GAME.
