I see this way too often and it bothers the living fuck out of me.
The ENTIRE POINT of OTLand is so everyone can work together and try to make the best possible things. Because of this, basically every project is a combination of everyone's work in the OTLand community.
Even if I help someone make an entire script myself. The fact that I may have learned how to help that person from other people years ago means that THEY are helping that new person THROUGH me. And I'm using functions from TFS, or lib files that I didn't make most of the time. Basically EVERY THING YOU DO belongs to EVERYONE.
What does this mean?
If you see someone building upon a previous server, or script, or source edit, or map, or anything that you made in the past. LET THEM!
OTLand will get no where if everyone has to walk on eggshells trying to not "offend" all the other people that may or may not have helped produce different maps, scripts, source edits, mods, or even ideas.
Why can't we all just get along, be happy, and make good servers?
