Honestly I feel as if your main issue is contrast+color*, the rest is okayish, but if you would improve in that they would look few times better.

*Either there is little to no contrast, or the colors are boring without any hue shift

Its a good tutorial, dont overdo it, but it might help a lot. Your main talent lies in outline and shape, you need to work on the colors and contrast, theory will help, but in the end what matters most is the hours put into the work.

Regardless, you have a great potential and I really want to see even better things coming out from you! Good luck ^_^
