Block IP from site.

How can I block certain ip-adress so it can't connect to my site? Also how can I see ip-adress from players in database?

Like this: iptables -A INPUT -s ip-address -j DROP

hm, don't understand it lol xD I use xp, I just want to block ip from my htdocs for example: localhost can't creat char or see my localhost at all, I want that so I can do so certain players can't enter my site...
