Where do I see my spells? Is it the same as Powers?

Powers are spells. We gave this new name because of the new concept of boost, in which you can hold your power button increasing it's power (and cost also).

On mainland, you can learn powers at Digger's store, upfloor to the Yppi's store north to the Erembor's depot.

On Rookie Island, you can learn powers at Zolta's store, upfloor to the Lily's store southwest to the rookie village.
But, for this, you will need level 10 and, also, became a Permanent Rooker (keep on Rookie Island forever being not able to go to mainland anymore) with The Goddess Yggdrasil.
If you want to go to mainland, you cannot became a Permanent Rooker. So, this means you cannot use powers on Rookie Island if you want to go to mainland.

You can see your powers on your Powers List window pressing the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+P.
Powers should be used on hotkeys.
Power hotkeys can be pressed to boost it's power - it will increase the mana's cost also.
Some powers needs the mouse on game screen to target.

You can set a power as hotkey.
Simply select the hotkey you want, then press on "Select object" and, finally, choose the power you want.
If you change your mind, you can clear this hotkey by pressing on "Clear object".

You can also set this hotkey to be on the hotkeybars.
If is not activated yet, first mark the option "Display hotkeybars" and then press "Ok".

Now, you "drag&drop" the configured hotkey you want to any hotkey bar you want.
If you update the hotkeys after drop on a bar, they will be update only if you click on "Ok" in the Hotkey window.

Alpha version it's an uncompleted version.
Then people play, test, then get offline. Maybe back when we notice a big update.
That's how it works on Alpha version.
