It's because many ots allow botting etc. Mostly these 6k is either botters or people home playing because they have no work or school. Now it's 9,7k online on real tibia because the "normal" work hours is almst over.6k that's how much a good ots holds lol!!!
are seriously bashing them for not having players? they made open tibia possible also tibia existed for 20 years of course popularity of the game will decrease
Not necessarily. Had they not made a bunch of bad moves there'd be a fair chance that they would've increased instead of decreasing their player-base.are seriously bashing them for not having players? they made open tibia possible also tibia existed for 20 years of course popularity of the game will decrease

This is true.
Tibia was basically 90% of people that enjoyed the open free environment where you could do whatever you want, and 10% were players that wanted the skull system, training to be removed, cheaper blessings, and lower death-loss.
Cipsoft listened to the 10%, and lost 90% of their players.
Couldn't have said it better. Cip decided that catering to n00bs was the correct play, and we're now seeing the consequences. That plus their eternal struggle with cheaters and their failed ways of dealing with them (i.e. modifying the gameplay with things like auto-training, stamina, soul points, light hack, aimbot instead of spending a few bucks on dedicated personnel whose only job is to monitor the servers for cheaters).
Then creating a video game pointlessIf your passion is to make a video game. You create something YOU want to see, and who cares if no one plays it, you are creating something YOU want.
Unless it is single playerThen creating a video game pointless

This is kinda bullshit argument. Games like TF2, CoD or Overwatch are simplistic piece of code made for “nOObs”, people with ADHD and in general for people who don’t like to think to much about strategy – no offense to anyone, just saying.Couldn't have said it better. Cipsoft and its depression

Tibia is just ugly. We are humans, biological beings and our eyes evolved to look at moving stuff, colorful stuff, stuff full of details. Tibia is losing because, Tibia looks like game from early 2000s in late 2010s. So called “nOOBs” are ordinary people who enjoy simple games with simplistic gameplay, not “dad-games” like ArmA, Insurgency or Squad and ordinary people like to look at pretty things, not pixelated piece of shit.
Okay, but do you have any reasonable data about numbers of "real core players" who didn't like noob-friendly changes and left the game? Because you cannot just assume that all of those players who played tibia between 2000-2010, were real core players who decided to leave the game. When I said "catering to n00bs", I was talking purely about gameplay mechanics. My definition of n00b is a player (not necessarily a newbie) who in addition to certain undesirable behaviors, is an absolute crybaby who complains about everything. And Cip loves listening to them because they think that by doing so they will attract a great number of new players to Tibia (ignoring the fact that most of their real "core" players greatly dislike those changes).
add an extra 5k, still not much
