Complaint on Don Daniello

Hello!

I'm writing this because nothing is happening and Don Daniello can just do whatever he want and walk away.

As you might know/seen I have my own thread in Jobs Section "HalfAway's Hosting Service", I'm doing it completly free.
(trying to boost the usage of TFS 1.0 and ZnoteAAC and also custom servers in general)
All they have to do is to apply and show me some information about their server.

I'm trying to get the thread know to people so sometimes I bump the thread, and so does some other users that is happy with my service.

To the point:
Today I got a "Inappropriate Advertising / Spam" conversation from Don Daniello:

BUMP = Bring Up My Post and that is definetly what Don Daniello is doing, so I can't see why it is "illegal" when you are doing it. I really hope that he suits up and act more mature for the sake of this community.

No offense Don Daniello, but I think that you should re-think about what you've done and atleast consider to appologize to HalfAway for doing this.

Lol wtf, I see tons of threads that do tons of bumping never ever seen anyone got hes bumps removed like this xD
So if I understand this correct, bump an thread is no longer allowed on OTLand?

From what Don Daniello has told me some time ago, bumping a thread is allowed only every 24 hours, otherwise the posts are to be deleted/merged. From what I recall these posts where made with more than 24 hours of separation,

The thing is, HalfAway did not make any of those BUMPS. There was always a different person that did all those bumps and still HalfAway gets the punishment.

I've also had a lot of problems using his service, he is a very shady guy. Lucky me @Cornex stepped in and helped me when I needed it instead.

There shouldn't be a problem, you're allowed to bump your thread every 24 hours. Whereas if someone else posted bumps in the thread then only their posts should have been deleted.

I just hope to god this isn't a personal attack due to Don also having a hosting service that he charges for.

This needs a proper overview, a lot of stuff has gone to shit since the last era of mods left.

Would just like to point out that @Don Daniello may have assumed the members posting "bump" were HalfAway, after the conversion to XenForo, moderator's couldn't view in depth details of IP's (last user post, user registration ip etc).

This is only because Don loose his customers for his hosting service, this is power abuse.. As you guys can see, everyone seems to be on half away's side. And he didn't do a thing wrong.

It is important for this community to have fun, help eachother and be positive.
I know that HalfAway is a great person and im far from the only one thinking that, meanwhile, mr Don doesn't have the best reputation even if he somehow earned his position.

Lets take this from a perspecitve where we don't judge from a personal point of view, but from what it looks like.
To me, It looks like Don is using his position, pure powerabuse, to take his service infront of HalfAways, as they are putting out the same service. I have personaly been in this situation myself towards a certain person with power here at OTland that didn't like my idea to grow as it wasen't in favour of himself. Don would probably react himself if someone would counter with the exact same thing that he did on his post.

A situation like this is never fun and what we all are waiting for is what Don has to say about this even if it is a rightfull or a bad argument.

When I purchased a host from him he gave me VPS that was banned on otservlist.org. It had been banned BEFORE I even had access and bought the VPS. I complained with solid proof and he just replied with some trashy argument that I had myself to blame.

I wont take the time to get this proof and to prove for you here, you can decide for yourself if you want to belive me or not. I've just explained my situation and this was a really long time ago so I dont really care anymore neither do I care if you belive or me not.

Facts:
- 31 posts having "BUMP" as the only content were removed from your post (actually merged with the first one to show you how it looks)
- posts that had other content than "BUMP" were not removed, you can still find them in your thread
- every user who posted a few bumps received 1 warning, not just you
- you (@HalfAway) posted about 5 of those bare-bones "BUMP"s yourself, you did not get punished for others

Intepretatation:
- a "warning" is not a punishment (a banishment is), it serves a purpose of educating you about our standards
- "BUMP" without any valuable content is not allowed, ever. Not even every 24 hours.
- If you post two in a shorter period of time than 24 hours, then you automatically deserve a warning/ban. If you make your thread look like a bunch of bumps, it does not look good, nor does it have any value. The reason your thread was cleaned was that out of 6 pages, 2 were completely useless.

The bottom line is: don't bump like crazy. Nobody likes scrolling through pages of bumps. If you do it once or twice, you can probably get away with that. If 20% of your thread is just bumps, it is a problem.

But all your useless messages on your page are okay. Sure they might not say "Bump" but in context it might as well be the same damn thing. Bumping a thread that promotes a great service and helps the Open Tibia community shouldn't be a problem under no circumstance. If threads weren't meant to have the words Bump to move it up, then there'd be a block on it, or a rule. Can you show me the rule that doesn't allow the word bump every 24 hours?

And who trusts we can figure it out? Just you? As far as this situation looks @HalfAway Seems to be the only person that received that warning when many people have bumped threads many times, but hey I'm sure it's coincidence right?
