Linux Dedicated.

Hello, I'm buying a dedicated server, but now I don't know which system to choose, I heard that linux is way better than Windows, and that's what I wish to choose, but which linux? Which will be easy enough at the beggining?

I'm thinking about Virtual Desktop (Ubuntu Desktop 8.04) Is it good choice to host TFS? And what about recompiling for linux? Do I really have to do it? Is there TFS already compiled for linux?

Choose Ubuntu.. it's better for beginners nd it is exactly the same as Debian.

If you want with desktop, choose Ubuntu Plain.

If you buy from serverloft, then choose ubuntu (plain) that is desktop but from other websites i dont know

Now it says cannot load config.lua, but it is in that folder.

When I was starting with linux there was only debian and I haven't got any problems with it so I prefer to choose this since it's more stable and better for the servers.

But now, what about XAMPP? Or ome other Mysql DB
