He would pay a joining free, basically to give you insentive to map. Pay a bit at first, than he'll pay the rest when you finish the map. It's so you're not working for nothing.

People got other stuffs to do than assing on their chair for months mapping. For me it would take 6month cause im not an mapper.

As I said in the first post, the completion payment will vary depending on how well the work is.
This means it could be $500 or more.
