Depot trouble

I hit a snag making a depot. When I log out, anything placed in the depot is deleted. What is the process of setting up a depot correctly? At the moment I have a town, and just plopped down a depot in it with a couple of depot chests, that is all I've done so far.

Right click your depot locker then choose properties using RME and set town to it then retry.

Hm, I don't see how I can set town from there?

Depot chest supposed to be inside the locker not outside and then you set a town to the locker itself, ID from 2589 to 2592
