I have myself bought something from kondra and just now checked tfs and otservbr repositories, and that is already implemented (probably leaked, cause that what that community does) in OTServBR-Global and is not yet implemented on TFS main repo, a simple crash bug. This is what saddens me.
So why don't you submit a PR about it to the main TFS repo?

@Slavi Dodo is a beast, he has done so much in so little time

another client that worth a mention, even if it is not being actively developed, is the one from @fabian766 :

in all my years at otland, I'm still yet to see anyone as talented as him regarding client stuff

(since the owner of Phobos Online created an alt tibia client and released it on otfans I guess lol)
"The difference between a madman and a genius is just the result". Many things that peoples told me it was impossible, @fabian766 did in her codes.
it is a genius that needs to be recognized.

I probably will.

The point I was trying to make though, is the fact that it is still not on tfs main repo, I'm away from this community for a long time, still nobody commited it.

How comes I didn't know about this project existence I really don't know, it looks neat, and the time put into Unity client and this one is beyond time put into OTCv8 (fixes and optimizations) to charge for 5kUSD and those ones are actually open source, we can see huge greed here.

As @gudan garam said about TFS, it also applies to OTclient, both are terrible pieces of sht (in performance). I had to make many many improvements on my server and remove so many bugs that I lost count to have almost 800 players online without problems. If you open a server with the official TFS repo and a br arrives, they can crash your ot in less than 5min HAHAHAHA... Everything is a meme in this community hahahaha.

You can say whatever you want about otclientv8 or kondra, but if nobody is going to improve something already forgotten then don't cry (this is for everyone).

No one is going to improve the performance of the tfs or the original otclient, so you can work on it on your own or wait 10 years for someone to do something for free.

Buy it from him and release to everyone for free? It's easy to ask him to release the code he did himself instead of doing it yourself.

Lol did never heard about this @fabian766 client
The sad true is: if he not make a good bot running together the client as kondra did none of regular players will use the client

did you just skipped the whole discussion or you opted for turning your cerebral capacity off?
This is exactly what I'm saying: Why we need to wait 10 years if lots of servers have those fix already? Are we all gonna pretend they don't and keep doing the same work that was already done by others?

You do understand that my critic is not focused on Kondra right? If the people that have actually paid for the sources have communicated the interest in buying it, they all could have split the value and shared the improvements with the community since we all leech from the original edubart project. What is absurd is every developer be required to study hard some complex techniques like sprite batching/atlases just to have a usable client or having to pay 5k usd for it. In BRL that would be RS$ 25k, it's 25x the minimum wage here and it's the price of a new car of current year.

never heard as well, I'm glad to see others are trying to make improvements on this area as well.
Bot running together is definetely something that is a plus and that kondra should sell as a service, but selling quickfix and improvements in current code are absurd.

little wolf making difference.
That's nice, let's get back open source culture.
I just wish we had more engagement in this discussion, I don't see any members from the staff, I don't see any developer from big servers commenting here. This has to be a wake up call for the community.

I do agree with your agenda, however if someone selling something for a price.. only the creator can set his price.
But I mean talking about Iryont? For what? XD He has been a snake since the beginning of Tibianic.

The stories I have about all these great innovators.. all based upon facts but none would believe.
OTland have been corrupt for a long time now.

I may not be famous here, but I have been around since the first day of OTfans. I know most European OT owners , I remember a lot.
But some only remember where the money comes from.

@Fadoramix do not fear to come forward with your history, I think we need such statements to start something fresh out of it. We've been here for so long and we did let this happen to say the least. Me included. In 2014 when I get back to the community I had basically two options.

a) Move to otland and focus in programming part of Otserver.
b) move to TK and focus in developing the community.

I've made my choice and I don't exactly regret it, but I see now that perhaps spending too much time with the brazillian community and less improving the project in github has taken its toll. Back then I had the skill, the energy and the time to do anything.

The personal development and the fact that I had all my contributons written in my resumé gave me more money than any of those guys exploring people for bug fixes can dream of. All great companies are looking for volunteer work specially in open source projects.

I'm not exactly against people selling things they build on top of open source, but charging for fixes and improvements that were pointed out and discussed by people "willingnessly" is something I cannot endure. As you said, not even Kondra himself believe in what he's saying, his attempt to convince us in also an attempt to convince himself. Just hope he understands that he's currently sitting in a sand's castle and thinking he's the king.
He does however have an opportunity here to change things and go through this very well, if he consider sharing the structural corrections to otland otclient project.

But again, this alone won't do much. We need other developers (me included) to go back working on that and sharing knowledge and discoveries. No one should do this path of fixing tfs and otclient sources alone, neither paying money for it. Only then we can start discussing next steps.

Okay missed that point. Sorry! To make people pay for stuff that should already be fixed is indeed a joke.
But honestly I gave up the fight to try and punish the wrong doers. What we best can do is just to make something better than them and don't charge for it. Then they lost their power 🤓

And me telling stories.. no use.
I mean you can ask why and how Ryan got his Oldera server back 2008 🤠

I think Nekiros comment on discord summed this up quite well:

OTCv8 is a cool client for players playing existing vanilla ots.
But its trash for developers.

It will die a slow death for that reason, you cant monetize the player-base directly unless you restrict and paywall a feature players use (like the bot).
This has consequences though - i.e. outright hostility to devs means you will get servers blocking the client sooner or later.

OTU and learning unity is the best viable option if you want to create a custom server with a custom client atm.

[...] If by any chance this post is deleted by the moderation, I will understand that this community is done. [...]
Your previous post was deleted since the topic it contained was not suitable for the thread/board it was posted on. It has nothing to do with the community or what we represent. We didn't choose to censor it due to its contents. We ask of you to follow our rules to maintain a structured forum. Posts with good opinions or good content can get deleted simply because they've been posted incorrectly in different ways.

Now, your post was deleted, what did you deduce from that? Is the community "done" as you say? A silly statement from you, showing no respect to the volunteer moderators and administrators of this forum.

[...] 1) How otland have kept this topic in the forum? I mean, I'm not even talking about a guy literally trying to scam people for 5k USD in a project [...]
Again you are breaking the rules by discussing the commerce of a resource. I stopped reading after this point, even though you might have made a good discussion thread--you're breaking the rules with this post.

I don't know how many times I've repeated myself saying that it is strictly forbidden to talk about sales of OpenTibia resources on OTLand. Just by mentioning it yourself, you're advertising his offer.
It's not hard to read the rules and follow them when you're posting on our forum. Especially not for smart guys like yourselves. Please take the time to read the rules before you've accumulated enough warning points that it leads to a banishment. It would be a shame to lose valuable users of this forum for a period of time, just because they cannot follow simple rules.

I'm locking this thread until we have warned users and deleted respective posts. You may continue the discussion when we're done moderating the existing posts. We expect of you to have read the rules by then.

Edit:
To clarify for those users messaging me about the decision I made (locking the thread), I'll leave a message here.
Per our routines, I should have issued a warning and deleted the thread since it does not conform to our rules. Instead, I locked the thread temporarily, so that we in staff can discuss on how to proceed, because the discussion can be deemed to be of importance to the community. If you're in favor of continuing this discussion, you're shooting yourself in the foot by flaming me.

Since it seems alot of users didn't read @Kaspar 's post ill make a TL;DR here, those who don't follow the rules will get a warning point / ban right away.

We are talking about how we should move forward with this, it doesn't help when users flame the staff via PMs or report staff messages to tell us their opinions in this matter.

1. Offtopic messages:
Posting messages that have no relevance to the topic of the thread you are posting in will lead to your post being deleted. Repeated posting of offtopic messages may lead to a punishment.

Addendum 1:
There are no excuses for breaking the rules. It doesn't matter if you were angry at the time and weren't thinking straight. It doesn't matter if you were only kidding around. If you break a rule, it does the same damage, regardless of your reasons for breaking it, and you will be punished all the same.

Addendum 4:
Harrassing moderators for one of their actions is not acceptable. Sometimes we are streched and we have to make difficult decisions. However, we are just doing our job. A punishment isn't something that should be taken personal. You can also help with rule enforcement by pressing the "Report" button whenever you find something that is problematic. You can complain for an unjustified action using the Feedback board but you may not attack the responsible moderator in a personal manner. We are all humans, we also make mistakes.

It is just sad to see that people are dicussing about otclient when, in reality, players will not adopt it if the server is not something completely different from tibia and cannot be played with cips client, something like pokemon or dragonball servers. If you check otservlist, the top 20 servers are 95% Tibia like servers, by that I mean that players do not need a client different from CIPs to player, therefore they will not use OTC.
Firstly, after all that years OpenTibia community should abandon Cipsoft's client. Why? Because its Cipsoft's. Same with graphics.
Secondly, if you want to make another shit copy of boring rl/orshabal/evo servers, go ahead, in those cases you don't need open source client. But if you gonna add something more, some new system etc. you will go back in time and will be forced to use standard Tibia's windows to display wall of text that nobody reads

I just want to suggest completely abandoning otclient in favour of unity one. It's way faster than otc and has much better lights drawing algorithm. Also, it's written in technology that will be used in the future unlike otclient. Ability to create games in unity is much more valuable and universal than ability to just edit otclient. Kondra is only abusing the fact that there are no better alternatives, but if we make a better alternative, there will be no reasons to use otclient anymore.

The progress is literally right below our noses.

Die in hell botters, don't play then if you don't have time to do it manually. Or wait for a server that isn't a "war server"; where you start with levelled up and equipped character.
