Forgotten server 8.6 tips :< for pro

Hello guys and girls i need some information from someone that hav been created a Medium "RPG SERVER"

i want to start a ot a clean forgotten server with only like trainers, quests, huntspawns,

and the rest is to war and pk

what is the key to create a succesful medium pvp e server.
 
Man, You post the weirdest shit sometimes.

However, a good things for a server that people will enjoy are as follows:

  • New vocations. (Don't really have to be UNIQUE)
  • A semi decent, semi custom map.
  • If you use the real map, don't fucking just leave it plain ol' real map.
  • No portals. (This one might be contested, I personally don't mind them to an extent.)
  • Donor items are only 5-10% better than anything obtainable in game.
  • VIP worth it. Exp gain, loot drops, ease of getting around/to spawns, faster respawn zones, etc.
  • Addons that either give bonuses, cumulative or singular.
  • Events that actually give worthwhile things. Currency, unique items (Display things), addon items, etc.
  • Increase exp for hunting in parties, make it additive on top of the existing rate. (a monster killed solo nets 150, killed with 2 people nets 200 for ea, 3 is 250 for ea, etc etc.)
  • Pick either potions, or runes. You can go the UH/Manarune path or, go down the Potions. If so, balance accordingly. You CAN do both, but be warned it can be imbalanced.
  • Interact with your players.
  • If nothing is custom, at least make multiple types of monsters available to hunt and level on. Don't force everyone into DL's coughNoxiouscough, but don't give players no where in particular.
  • Have a quite a few easy quests, a few hard ones, and fewer ones that are hidden and mysterious. Leave hints in obvious places, with clearly important, yet vague meanings. People will notice trends and communicate and discuss what they mean.
  • Houses that are unique and/or useful. Trainers, certain monsters, bosses, unique perks, etc.
  • Don't be afraid to make some things require multiple people. Whether it be challenging (Need 3 healers!) or just NEEDING the people (anni style).

All I can think of at the moment. I'll get back to you.

Nah, i mean like. I have seen people just tagging like @Limos help plz i need this script. And when YOU tag you are answering my questions or help me.

Edit, often i allow people to tag me if they need help. But often they tag me on requests threads. And these rules are not from me. They are from the support board rules. And these rules applys on every board.

so what also i cant make a new post when ever i want help? or is it 1 post and after 24/7 i can post another one in that case otland is broke

ofc no but if i need help with something else i am able to post a new thread about my problem i dont have to make 1 thread and then wait 1 day to make another one? loool

okk well i have not added the same post twice its just beacuse i make many thread the ppl rage at me but now i know the rule thx anyway
