I wasn’t straggling behind anyone, there was 20 people in there and i couldn’t move. There was no warning text, i followed after everyone else into portal and then when a few of us couldn’t enter. We just suicided on the boss as there was no other choice. Could absolutely be coded better than that.

Thats good the lag was fixed, it was the main reason i decided to play something else. Goodluck with the rest of season
We always accept suggestions on how it could be improved. The warning text exists and I have just verified it works correctly. 60 seconds seems more than enough for a coordinated team of 20 people to enter the portal.
 
And Ruthless Chaos is now 12 days from launch! It's been a wonderful first days, many feats of strength have already been completed, and we’ve seen everything from epic quest-runs to PvP combat.

Grinding start now boys, its not too late to join the server, becoming Slayer in the Sarlin Society only gives you access to hell, which is probably the same size of the main continent (but with very strong monsters everywhere so it takes even more time to properly explore). Get your nob friends and come play.
 
A new patch has been rolled out! This includes a client update so make sure to close and open your client for the auto-updater to do its thing!

As you know, updates to the executable (like this one) are tricky. In order to avoid issues, please make sure you do the following:
1) Run the client in administrator mode when you open it for the first time (when the updater runs)
2) Go to your installation folder after the updater has completed, and if you see an executable with a name similar to "RuthlessChaos-172[...].exe", change any existing shortcuts you have to link to that executable. Otherwise, your shortcuts to the executable might stop working the next time you close your client.

It looks like the tide of the battle against the Ruthless Seven is turning. The first teams of players have infiltrated the Hellish Realm and have already defeated some of the generals and champions of the Seven. Meanwhile, a hero has reached the (first) level cap of 300. Congratulations Kentar!

In other news, Ferumbras, the powerful wizard, has been slain, lifting an ancient curse. All players below level 80 now permanently gain 5% increased experience.

What are you waiting for? There has never been a better time to join the ranks of the Sarlin Society and fight the demonic hordes!
 
A new server patch has been rolled out! It contains the changes to donations that were announced last week in ⁠announcements. It also contains several bugfixes, new rechargeable potions (requested in ⁠suggestions), balancing changes to shaman feral totems and some tweaks to monster elemental resistances. A server patch has been rolled out. The high-level areas of focus of the patch are:
  • Add several quality-of-life changes suggested by players.
  • Rebalance some high-level bosses/dungeons to address the unintended progression issue where many tier 3 items are easier to obtain than tier 2 items. This should make life easier at levels 150-250 for gear-dependent vocations (mostly knights).
  • Address shamans having almost no use for imbued weapons with the current power balance between enchanted and imbued weapons.
  • Encourage monk spell rotations by making low-cost spells more efficient than high-cost spells. We'll be following up on this with more changes on the next client patch.

Some of you may have already heard the rumours of a new power struggle starting in the blazing heart of Azaila. The mighty avatar of light and flame, Solaris, has risen in the west of Arvankil and needs to be stopped before it's too late. Find Elandor in Port Sarlin to learn how to stop this novel threat!

Solaris is a new daily boss that can be fought alone or in groups of 2 players around level 65-80. Defeating him will grant you an experience rate boost for three hours and is meant as a catch up system for low-mid level players.

A second chapter to this update is soon to follow, which will introduce Solaris' ultimate nemesis.

A server patch has been rolled out. These are the high-level objectives of the patch:
  • Give mages more options to improve their survivability through gear, to allow them to access a higher variety of hunting spots at levels 130~250. This also comes with a nerf to the shroomite hunting spot which was just too good compared to other spots (independently of the general power level of mages).
  • Allow players to kill the Ruthless Seven even if they aren't among the first team to complete the Ruthless Chaos Quest.
  • Prevent the damage of Shamans of Undeath from getting out of hand when they can draw power from lots of players. We still want Azara to be an area that incentivizes solo play, but not to the point where this mechanic makes the way to Nirhal/Jarvis unfeasible for teams.

This includes a client update so make sure to close and open your client for the auto-updater to do its thing!This patch is mainly aimed at bugfixes (client and server), though there are some noteworthy content changes too:
  • An elemental rebalance pass aimed at making some mid-level spawns more accessible/profitable for mages. This comes hand-in-hand with a long expected nerf (still not too harsh) of the shroomite spawn.
  • A distribution of new backpack skins throughout the game!
  • A few minor changes to the core behavior of monsters.
 
The majority of the community of this server are mostly the same people that play over and over again. It does need new players and newcommers or it will be enjoyable just for a few.

You see, there's a major problem with the way devs made their project, it has some dated cool features that can make the first gameplay days feels good but once you need to progress further, and face real challenges, you will not be able to relly only on YOUR OWN.
And that's the problem!


90% of the main feature of the server is based in team work and most of these dudes that played since the first season, does know 100% of the game secrets, and newcommers will ALWAYS be a step back. Result? You will need to follow their rules, give them the items, need their help, progress on their will, they will find the only one take reward chests first, open the secrets first, and noone in the server will be able to do it just by exploring or so.

I told it to the devs years ago, and didn't received a single honest reply.

Also, for those who don't get what I'm trying to say, PLAY IF YOU WANT, BUT KNOWS THAT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO PROGRESS unless you're willing to SWALLOW THE BITTER PILL older players want to force on you.


How I know that? I played since the 2nd season, made more than 40h of youtube content for the server, know all these guys, played with them, received "their help" and as I can see with the teasers and people replying here, they are back and the devs does rely on them to make some profit, which is a shame because they could make this project so much better and even make more profit, with their deserved hardwork, if they'd embrace the bigger community out there, not a small team clique of people.

Also, I don't have time to play, but I did watch some videos and seems like, the majority of the "old guys" are helping newcommers and doing bosses & other contents

Harming the server was never my intent. I wanted to point that, in most cases, ppl were selfish but I wasn't able to see that what I just wrote could have been better written, and trying to address the problem that way, was a selfishness of mine as well. I'm sorry.

That's all good! You highlighted a very real problem that server had (& still has, just a bit less every day). It was worded a bit unconstructively, I agree, but that doesn't make it untrue. Thanks for appreciating the effort we've done to address it I and hope some day you find time to drop by the server :)
 
Howdy adventurers!

Today's update brings an overhaul of the client's actionbar. Among its new features are the ability to switch profiles (under Settings > Controls), the ability to show up to 6 action bars on screen, re-assigning actions by dragging and dropping, lock/unlock functionality and informative tooltips.

Many of the old actionbar's quirks, like not being able to edit actions should also be fixed with this update.

Unfortunately we could not keep backwards compatibility, so your actionbar settings will reset after the update. We hope its new features and bugfixes make up for this fact.
