Patching
We had a support volunteer/staff meeting today (long overdue) and they said that they would create patch installers. Please refrain from posting about update problems until those are out.

You can try using the 0.1.30 installer, which has an auto updater version that works better:
0.1.30 client

You can try to get the auto updater to work:
Uninstall antivirus (you many need an additional removal tool (ie norton av))
Disable your firewalls
Reinstall outside of Program Files (try C:\HoN)

EDIT: another thing:

Steps to fix the fatal error when attempting to update to the newest patch.
1: Open up your HoN folder (Default is C:\Program Files\Heroes of Newerth\)
2: Rename the file "log.txt" to "tos.txt" OR you can create a new text file and rename it to tos.txt - Make sure that the file name is "tos" and the file type is ".txt"
3: Delete the Update folder.
4: Run Hon_update.exe from the same folder.

The client should update and work just fine. If there are any issues please post here or meet us on IRC in #techsupport for further assistance.

I played yesterday with arachna against troja and killed him 5 times and never died. xD
