How do I edit the engine for a tibia 7.6 server

Hi guys, sorry if I sound clueless. I have been working on and off on a 7.6 tibia server over the past few years in my free time. I have managed to figure out how to edit most things within my server however, I have never been able to figure out how to edit the code for the engine! I would like to add commands like buyhouse etc to my server, and would appreciate any help I can get.

To edit the engine you need the source code, that in Otserv is wrote in C++, than you need to compile it again to generate a new executable.
