Every year I have a urge to play on map editor like I used to do when I was a teen, and every year I just cant make it work so I will try to get support from some user because I cant find a good link (or im too stupid) to help me.

I had some RME on my computer so I start searching google and I downloaded this from this website:

RME 4.1.2 (Supported to 13.20 tibia verson)

I then downloaded Tibia 10.98, went to preferences on RME, I put Default Client Version 10.98, unchecked the Check file signatures, I went to 10.98, click browser, opened the Tibia 10.98 folder and selected.

And this error appears:

ERROR RME BRUSH.webp

And when I try to open a map that I downloaded from otland mapping forum, this error appears (I used a 10.10 map as exemple, but if im using a 10.98 client it should have all the 10.10 sprites, right?

ERROR OPENING MAP.webp

It has been many years since I want to do a rpg map for fun but I always stuck in something... can someone make me understand what is happening? it used to be simple back in the days, or perhaps weed have eaten my neurons

1. Make sure you:
2. You said you're using default 10.98, no custom spr/dat, right? Go to preferences:
don't uncheck Check file signatures, let it be
  • default client version: 10.98
  • under 10.98 set path to your 10.98 client (or where the spr & dat file are, they need to be in the same folder!)
  • apply/ok
3. Create new, empty map (it will be 10.98):
  • go to file and click import, import map
  • browse your map (that 10.10 map)
  • hit ok
4. After successful importing your map will be 10.98, now you can save it as 10.98 and next time just open it, no need to import it everytime - or instaed of saving it as 10.98 you can downgrade it to 10.10 which i dont recomedn

Are you using canary ? (still will be working, but without canary borders)

Here, download GitHub - Nottinghster/1098extended (https://github.com/Nottinghster/1098extended/tree/master)
Open data and spr, copy and paste everything, to the tibia 10.98 folder, where is your tibia.exe, overwrite.

Items copy and paste, to the rme 4.1.2 >data>1098 folder, overwrite.

Download this, 13.5 KB file on MEGA (https://mega.nz/file/LNtVFbDS#gQDOzRgbMrlrxV-NpvWcYYfQETmkRwm6DG_0_Z7fm7A),
copy and paste, to the rme 4.1.2 > data, overwrite.

Have fun.

Thank you, the RME is working, now I need to learn a few things more like convert new sprites in to the program because I was looking for new thing and isnt there I thought it was because the rme filess I downloaded is "supported to 13.20", but I guess I need to download the updated Tibia and convert in to .dat and .spr, right?

I will have a look in to that, there is many things I still have to learn, then I have to dedicate myself to go throw the learning curve and then have fun xD
