Well now the year is almost over, we would like to hear some stuff from you as a member that we could implement for the improvement of OtLand in the next year of 2009!

Every idea, thought, suggestion, feedback is welcome in this thread and will take into consideration as long it is sensible and useful for OtLand! ;)

Notice that it might take a while before your post will be reality. Since we need to see if this would be a good thing or not.

Kind regards,
OtLand Staff

@up: Public SVN? What does that have to do with OtLand? I'm pretty sure you're talking about TFS, but that's not what this thread is about.

@all 'x for admin/moderator' posts: we don't care about WHO you want to see as a moderator/admin, instead you can say 'hire more moderators/admins'.

Very well,
hire more regular moderators and if possible, lua tags would be great.

I actually managed to add that, but I had to modify vBulletin code for it and I prefer to write it as a plugin. Perhaps when we update to vBulletin 3.8 I'll modify the code and add it again.

Moderators more strict, infract people who make very-very useless posts like silent, also Elf was a bit... Just useless posts, waste of my reading time :)

  • New moderators/admins.
  • Renew or get a new theme.
  • Get a temporarly logo during the Christmas and the New years Eve/Well this special period of time.
  • Get a new logo at the beggining of the new year.. Competition [?]

1. Banning every single member that writes as Silentdefender I'm so damn tired of all his damn posts!
2. Otland blog, as elf said<33
3. New moderator over the open-tibia board since Casa ain't active at all.
4. New games to the arcade!

ill edit my posts if I find something new :D

Agree with ZoOoro.

But instead of banning those guys that writes like Silent..., just call their attention in some way ^_^.

Also... Elf should be an Admin, since he's a very active member, TFS developer (ACTIVE-ONE), got like 3 reputation dots it less than a month... but it's up to Talaturen ^_^.

I specially agree with the moderator at Open-Tibia section. :)! --- (And other boards)

And.. about the OTLand's theme, I like this one, since I learned to use forums with this ^_^, this is the first forum I stayed...

Seriously, I couldn't understand ******... Up to me.. it's a mess.

Thank You Xenios, for giving us the liberty to post our ideas.

And, I dont think master-m deserves to loose his position. He made some mistakes maybe, but as everyone... we make mistakes. But it's better to talk with him, instead of punish him without helping...

Thank You, once again.
Archez.

Three suggestions:

1. Bring in real moderation to the forums. It's absolutely impossible to look up anything useful in most threads. The best example is TFS 0.2 thread where people constantly ask 'how to make gm account?' or even more stupid questions and nobody does anything about it.

2. This may be connected to the above - fix the search engine. I can't absolutely find anything I want, though I'm a big fan of using this feature it's getting the wrong results.

3. Create a user's profile tab which would contain all submitted content that are files. These files might appear there after being checked/approved by a member of OTland team and would be marked as 'safe'. The user himself after approval couldn't himself change this content - only remove it. The next submission by that user would also need an approval. This could ensure the files posted in the profile are safe and/or good quality, if this is what staff wants of course. I've seen this working on mircscripts.org long time ago, they probably still have this system and this feature itself lead the site to being the best place to post your mirc scripts. If the code was junk, or didn't have a proper readme, or didn't work as intended it just wouldn't be approved.

gotta agree, ban scammers
