Monster attack monster/npc

Is it possible to make a monster chase and attack a monster/npc in lua/xml?
In that case, how?

I guess its possible with creaturescripts, but only if you modified your source.
You can create an npc, not a monster, that will chase other monsters.
But it can cause damn lagg!
So better edit the source, but it could take some time!
