Hello everyone,
Today I am going to adress the "fun-factor" in RL Tibia as many of you seem to not enjoy Tibia anymore and I want to give you a heads up on why you still could be enjoying your time here.
Nowadays most of those who leave are depressed by the botters omnipresence and by thw annyoing kicks and lags. I am with you about this. This is really something that Cip should have handled different or should have taken some kind of action at all. Anyway in my opinion it's also us, the players who are to blame when it comes to this matter. Most people I know from this community either left Tibia or started botting themselves. What ever happened to the communities spirit from back in the days? Why is everyone striving for the top now trying to compete with the botters? In my opinion Tibia isnalways a game that had its flaws but what made it strong was its community. Just because there was a large growth of botters this shouldn't justify botting our own chars. Back in the days the community go together and hunted down botters. And if we didn't we found another way to still enjoy the game to it's fullest not letting the botters bothering us. People even defined themselves by writing comments in their profile page at the Tibia homepage, which I still do and love to check on my friends profile page in order to check if they have anything interesting written there.
A game is always as much fun as you want it to be. A few years ago the social aspect of Tibia was far more valued than progress is nowadays. Guild would acctually RPG or atleast do a get together and hang out at the guildhall and have a chit chat. Friends would do team hunts, instead of botting alone, show each other their fancy houses or just try to make their guilds name a progidy on the server. This may be harder on pvp worlds with the botters now but a guild that really made me enjoy my stay alot and acctually completly neglected the botters lvl advantage was the Happy Tibians on Nova. We were a whole bunch of low levels with a highest char of maybe lvl 60 in the pk team. What we did was basicly running around with our 200 members (later even more) and hunting the botters down. Sure many of us died but it was a hell lot of fun and we didnt care since those werent our main chars. I still have a good laugh when I remember the days
I hope you guys will some day find a way to enjoy Tibia again and strive for something else than progress itself. Tibia has never been a game which would take the spot for being a progress orientated MMO. Alot of review sites such as mmorpg.com have stated Tibia to be a social game rather than a MMO and they are mostly right about this. If you want to play for progress and raids go play WoW or one of its clones, like seriously. Meanwhile I am residing on an optional pvp world now (Celesta) and have found an awesome guild in which each other is treated with respect, we have almost daily get togethers and some great laughs in our guild chat.
And if the server starts lagging again we just go for fishing once more (see pic below) haha
Isn't this what its all about? Having fun, together?
For me it certainly is and I hope I could give you a heads up on this.
Kind regards,
Damon
