.com <- Paid & Original & Trusted site. The biggest companies in the worlds uses .com So... Ofc .COM FTW.
 
Its pretty 50/50.

But .net usually is 50% cheaper than .com
 
well... .net means "network" and .com means "commerce/commercial".
So if it's a personal site, .net is better.
If you're selling something or trying to do business, .com is better.
 
Net .. Naa i am very stuck on com.. if a site it called .net i allways forget it :P and write .com .. but for me it's .com allways!

But for servers I prefer .net domain, it looks more elegant.
