Hi, Im new to Tibia in general, not just to Open Tibia.

Yesterday I played for about 3 or 4 hours and while I did like it, there were some things I didn't really enjoy. The Main thing being that upon death you seem to be losing everything, unless you have a "blessing". I ended up losing all the stuff I got and even when I went back to where I died, I couldn't find my stuff.
I can imagine that 99% of the people here would say it's not even a problem and Im sure to some extent it's meant to be this way. To die here and there. Considering I wanna have a more chill experience though, I was looking for beginner guides, to check if I might be missing things and I came across the fact that Open Tibia servers might be where it's at. That there are server with a focus on PvE and some even feature a system in which you don't lose your stuff on death.

Although the game is old and Im not here for nostalgic purposes, I kind of like the way the combat felt and I thought if Im better off playing on an Open Tibia server, I shouldn't invest more time into the official servers.

Sadly Im too new to really distinquish good, alright and bad servers. Sure I can check online numbers and how long the servers have been up, but the rest I can't judge.
That's why I decided to post about it on here and ask the community which servers you would recommend based on what I said above.

I see people use the game version numbers, because I assume veterans know the difference between version 8. and version 14. I don't really, other than knowing one is older than the other. If the version being higher means better QoL changes, I would obviously prefer that.
