I think normal members should be able to close their own thread.

Why?
It will help the moderators about people complaining/asking about closing their thread. It would be very useful.

Thing is, it could be abused by people posting and closing right after, so my suggestion if your going to have this, delete the threads that get closed by members for no reason. (People reporting etc etc)

I just thought it might help.

That will also allow them to open the thread again if it was closed by a moderator the way vBulletin works, which is not a good idea. This suggestion needs to be written as a vBulletin plugin and will therefore not be too easy to implement so it will have to wait until there is nothing more important to fix.

And what if I can magically get the plugin, would you do it? :)

Would probably not happen, but saying if the plugin was able to get, would you?

We are going to update to vBulletin 4 within max 1 week from now, so installing new plugins for vBulletin 3 is just unnecessary. If you can find such a plugin for vBulletin 4, it will be implemented together with the update or a few days after the update.

Nice to know when the update is going to be, thanks.

And alright :).

Are vBulliten plugins coded in PHP like the ones for MyBB are?

yay! im excited :D, take your time..you always do good work...also...It doesnt seem like a bad idea but yeah opening threads that mods already closed...would be a pain:P

This should stay as is, only donators must be able to close/open their threads whenever they want and/or need. (IMO)

Talaturen you are the best :*

Members can get banned? So they got something to loose to. (IP BANNED ETC) :)

There are ways around IP bans. So therefore it wouldn't really be as effective to just ban a member.

A donator risks losing the donator benefits, which kinda keeps most donators from abusing it, especially if they like being able to do more stuff.

Which there are probably other ways, I don't know everything in the world, but that's just how I see it.

You could always base if off of join date and post count.
(Note that I said and which would mean both. )

naj bad idea, it's ok like it is now
