OpenTibia Sprite Pack

I assume they are AI generated based on copyrighted content, right?
I say this because it looks a lot like some merged Tibia armors due to overfitting.

AI trend emerge seems inevitable, but it's still in a gray area and I think we can look at how to use it more ethically.
Assuming I'm right on my first guess, I'm not sure if it's ideal to apply generated content based on copyright stuff without consent into an open source package.

Hi Master, how are you?
Please, which AI can do something like this? Could you please tell me?
I have custom sprites and I would like to see if I can create other sprites from the ones I have, using AI.
Could you kindly help me?
Thanks

I second that gent's question! @matiszek30 are these AI-generated? If so, would you be willing to shed some light on the tool(s) that you used? I've spent the last evening looking into all sorts of (free, for now) generative AI for generating images (img2img, img+txt2img, txt2img) and none yielded satisfying results.
At the moment, I'm looking into training a bespoke model, so this pack will definitely help with that!

Just updated it adding @Sam Drost lizardman.

This is a conversion of a familiar map, it's a script that I will soon release, using @Forby Inconcessus/OTBM2JSON library. It converts maps using Tibia sprites into maps using OTSP sprites. You lose some quality here and there and it would need tweaks, but it does the majority of the work, remember OTSP is not meant to replace Tibia sprites, but be it own thing. Some images, as @Landera asked me to see how some of his sprites would look ingame.

minimap colors so good! so easy on the eyes, love it! gj!

Hi,

How are you supposed to work with the tilesheets here when they have this purple background to them?

Thanks!

Edit: Nevermind, found a way to make the background transparent.

The purple background you are mentioning is not displayed in the game.
Its ”invisible”.

thething is, here we should only add 100% free sprites, we cannot add "stolen" sprites from custom OTs :D. I wish we had a better base, if only i knew how to sprite

This is a very nice looking tileset, but unfortunately it doesn't align with a 64x64 grid so it can not be used to draw with in a map builder software
That image is perfectly aligned to a 32×32 grid, it matches exactly the perspective used in otservers.

If you slice this spreadsheet into equally large squares, 64x64 pixels, then parts of the component belonging to one square will overlap into another square.

As I said, it's aligned to a 32x32 grid, that's what matters, Tibia/otserv sprites are 32x32, there are no 64x64 sprites. Whenever you need to import it with a tool you would need to cut it to 32x32 pixels.

Do you plan to continue with this task? Id say there are more free sprites in discords and other places that could be used

I need a revamp to get simplified, probably only 2 folders of png sheets, one by author other by type. Deprecare all game related files, to make it easier to update (also there are soo many different implementations now that it doesn't even make sense to try to keep it). If I ever come back to ots probably gonna update it. What people could do is to post the sprites in this thread, making sure to point source and author and that it matches the guidelines. Also it doesn't need me, anyone can make pull requests.

In the software I'm using I had to slice the tilesets for wall components into 64x64 pixels to be able to draw with them.

Anyway, if you are aware about a tileset for neutral grey/light grey mountains that is free to use it would be very appreciated if it could be shared here. I have downloaded the sprite pack in this thread but unfortunately most mountains there are missing some tiles.

For tibia?

I see it aligned. But you cant use 64x64 because of borders
It's a nice tileset and I would like to use it. Maybe I'm missing something, but the height and width of the png divided by 32 doesn't give an even number for the amount of rows and columns.
