Hi everyone!

Over the years, I’ve seen a growing frustration in the OT community regarding advertising and promotion. While there are many amazing servers, several still struggle to effectively reach players and stand out. This is especially true when it comes to streamers and tracking marketing performance. So, I decided to start working on a solution to help both OT owners and Twitch streamers.

Problems in the OT Community:
1. Frustration with Otservlist – Sharing players' IPs raises privacy concerns and potential risks for OT businesses.
2. It’s hard to measure how well promotions work.
3. Twitch promotion is often overpriced or ineffective for both streamers and server owners.
4. Some broadcasters artificially inflate numbers, hurting the ad value.
5. Reaching out, managing connections, and running Twitch advertising is time-consuming.
6. Small streamers have problems with monetizing their audience.

So... here's where the idea of creating ot-hub.com started.
Overall, the website's idea is to help streamers earn more through seamless ads & automate ad campaigns for OT owners, making it easier and more efficient to promote their servers.

What is already working [or should be working actually...]?
  • OTS List (quite simple list, needs a lot of work, but it's not the primary website focus - however,r if you have any ideas, feel free to share them!);
  • Streams (a list of Tibia streams with language and OTS filters [right now, the servers are set there manually; in the future, I might use servers from the OTS List for this filter);
  • Game (a simple browser-based idle game, as I wanted to have something like that LOL);
  • OT Marketplace (RMT between players to list their runes and gold for sale; payments are not going through the website, but players can post their ads there. I hope it could be used instead of 687316 Facebook groups, so we have everything in one place); - I had to remove this one to be compliant with Otland rules (You can sell items on your server via an in-game store, but you cannot have that on the website that's not an OTS apparently - so it won't be available).
  • Twitch OAuth - streamers can already connect their accounts;

What am I currently working on?
  • Homepage and the strategy;
  • Better Twitch x OT-Hub integration: I can already show the campaigns on the broadcasts, get viewers (chatters), exclude bots, and allocate revenue for the streamer from the OT owner's budget based on a set CPM. However, I need to consider verifying if the ad is already displayed before allocating the revenue to avoid problems where broadcasters would, for example, not have AD added to their OBS on a specific scene or something.
  • Add automated chat messages that would be sent along with displaying the AD on their broadcasts;

Overall, I wanted to share this with you and see your thoughts. Maybe I am wasting my time, or is it a good idea?
I'm very eager to read any feedback;

P.S.
WEBSITE IS NOT MOBILE READY AT ALL XD

I'm glad you were able to hash out the problems with promoting your site here on otland! I think that this is an exciting new prospect for devs who are looking for a place to list their server without having to be constantly harassed about sending all their data to the owner (like otservlist is apparently doing nowadays). I believe it to be excessive the level of data that otservlist is requesting now, and that their list is quite sub-par in what one would expect of such a site that specializes in ot servers for so many years now.

Your site looks clean, and full of potential! It is clear to see that a lot of care went into it, and that it wasn't created in the late nineties early 2000's. Good job! I hope this site helps to see the end of the tyranny enforced on all OT devs by otservlist.

another boring and useless project from you that yoi will abandon same as otservlistme

Share us your knowledge about it (I want to know honestly, no jokes).

I can think about using Google Analytics (tags), and this would probably work as far as tracking any OTS list -> conversions like registration or even purchase, but it's not "out of the box." I don't think that any advertising method (OT-focused) delivers statistics, and that was the point. I could write it better.

I thought you said you are not using Otland anymore- isn't that what you told me?

Anyway, I have started a lot of projects in my life (by start, I mean working on something, even doing research in the field of a specific idea). I guarantee you that I abandoned over 90% of these. However, projects that have been advertised (more or less) have always been delivered, at least to the point of invalidating them as MVPs.

The case [website] you've mentioned has been delivered and is hosted—even while it shouldn't be for a long time. Other projects I've participated in in the OT community have also been delivered, and promises have been respected, e.g., with Darkrest, where I said that there will be only one server, as I don't like editions, and it won't be reset. The server is still online with no resets, and as long as I was a part of the team, there were no new servers under that brand.

I think that otserverlist.me might significantly help with the current website after doing 301 redirects to ot-hub.com . However, the site is not ready for that yet.

i use that link for otservlist countdown for example to count traffic coming out of otservlist and i ensure that its the best out of all advertisements if you have pretty good appearance players will give it a shot because they saw your server.

it just counts entries to the link uniquely, you can properly estimate your gains from otservlist ads based on things like that, check the redirection link .. etc
