Players and monsters bleeds after melee hits

Hi guys, I am trying to make, after each successful hit, both player and monsters to bleed, just like the magic "utori kor" does. Also, it should be stackable with future hits. Each bleeding hit should happen within 2 seconds, just like a normal Tibia attack time.
How do I add this function? should I do it on the weapons xml file? Is it a .lua I should write? If so, how do I write it?
