I would if I could, I dont have the whole map mapped on my client, if you have to remap there is something wrong with your setup since I havent heard of anyone else that is experiencing the same.

Are you running more than one client? Cause that might be the issue that when you close the one you are playing it saves the map files and then if you close the second it overwrites the old.
