Hey how much should the usages be when using tfs and having about 40-50 players?
mine is using 1 015 712kb = 1.015gb right?

Doesn't have so much to do with the player amount. Since the entier map are loaded at start. It's wasting alot of resources right there.

so noting todo with player amount? So im wasting ram? How can i fix this? Any ideas? Bad scripts?

1 GB RAM = supports 40 ~ 80 players (depends of your internet) [NOT SUPPORT MAP RL]
2 GB RAM = supports 80 ~ 140 players (depends of your internet) [NOT SUPPORT MAP RL]
4 GB RAM = supports 140 ~ 200 players (depends of your internet)
8 GB RAM = supports 200 ~ 400 players (depends of your internet)
12 GB RAM = supports 400 ~ 600 (depends of your internet)
24 GB RAM = supports 600 ~ 1400+ players (depends of your internet)

That's totally untrue

well ive hosted for 160 players with a 10 mbs internet and 1,6 gb ram... without lag..
and also, i've hosted rl map with 1 gb ram... for 60 players..

Memory leaks in Lua scripts or in C++ application. There probably aren't any, TFS/OTServ maploader normally has high memory usage since it has to assign attributes to every single tile, and item.

Even if your map is only 100 KB big, it will still use atleast 200 megabytes of RAM. :p

all right! Then it's lua that is memory leak how can you fix this? and what couses lua scripts to memory leak?

Lua probably isn't the cause. Unless you have some really shitty scripts that store LOTS of data in tables, and never remove them.

Sure, had plenty of servers with bad scripted lua that pushes lots of data and never removes it. It's the most common form of memory leak

Weird, memory usage on Galantica never increased by more than 20 MB (1802 MB) than initial usage even at peak online times.

Players doesn't count for much memory, barely anything unless you got scripts that etc add data per user and so on.

You're a good scripter, you probable don't have lots of bad scripts. :)
