I`m still seeing on OTLand threads that some1 rob some1 for money, bunch of drama spreads and hate, why everyone is acting worse than original problem creator.
It's good to show people that he is doing something wrong and illegal but for real, how many guys from OTLand will see this thread? Few. He will lose players? I think no.
Same as the ridicolous people who get scammed and making threads about it, jeeez..

"It's good but it's not good" you don't make any sense, dude. If you say that it's good to show people what's happening, then you shouldn't make fun of someone who does show it, for the fact that he shows it.

I`m not making fun of thread creator who exposed Marcus, just making fun of Marcus because he probably don't give a on this situation.
No matter what will happen, he still can add for example Rules accept window before download client or wherever with statement that he is using those stuff for "catch botters" or something else that will help him to move-out from this awkward decision to implement such a great spy tool, but people still be playing and accept it without reading..

This is not even comparable. Selling runes on some website pretending it's not him it's obviously stupid and bad for his players, but not harmful to any person. Installing a trojan allowing him to have insight to everything you do at your comp is a completly different thing. He can easily steal your identity, all passwords, private stuff, even bank credentials. Whether he does or does not use it for such purpose, it's irrelevant, because he still accesses and stores that data knowingly and tried to hide it.

He can add such rules/terms, but it can't be effective backwards. So this doesn't matter either. But you are probably right, some people are just plain stupid and won't care. I have just seen that Bubba keeps streaming that OT like nothing happened (and I saw people mention it on the chat, so can't say he's unaware).
I wonder whether otland staff is going to ban him and remove his threads now, considering that he's basically spreading trojan there in his threads. It doesn't differ from a hypothetical situation in which someone creates an advertising thread in which he links download of some virus (cause that's basically what he did).

What statement do you expect? It's not a "reason to stop playing", but more like a reason to report it to the police. I wouldn't call it a privacy violation, but literally a crime. If that's true, he basically sold people a trojan. He tricked hundreds of people to install his malicious software and then gained access to anything they do at their computers. Just imagine what he could have stolen when you used that client. Passwords and other credentials? No problem, if they were only shown in your screen at one point. Private conversations OUTSIDE of the client? Sure. Private photos? You probably browsed them one day, so of course. He may have got naked pictures of your gf from the day she did on-camera striptease to you, he may have information of your work projects, he may know everything you do at your comp. Just try to think about every activity you have ever done at your computer, every opened file, app, website, watched porn, every picture, every single time of turning your webcamera on - he may have seen it. And not only seen, but apparently he also stores it. This is insane and I can't believe someone was THAT stupid to put that into his client. I know in the past there were servers that scanned your processes without notice, but this is FAR beyond that. In any civilized country it's a serious threat of prison sentence, doesn't matter whether he used those information or not.

Now ask yourself this question: HOW does he possibly know what kind of software exactly you were using to cheat? Even the ones that do not touch client data/processes like simple macros (which only simulate some clicks in time intervals). If such tool is detected, how does he know the program by name?

There might be 3 ways that this bot detector is achieving it:
1. Making more-or-less educated guesses.
2. Sniffing other running processes on PC.
3. Taking fullscreen screenshots.
4. ??? are there any more ways?

It's way too accurate to assume bot detector is guessing the program and the client should not have the access to running processes (or does it?). So we are left with screenshots.

In example, I make same macro in multiple macro recorders. Its behavior will be exactly the same regardless of used program. I randomly pick one of them to run and cheat. When I'm caught he will know which program exactly I used. How is that possible without taking a screenshot or sniffing running processes?

We cannot know. It is more likely that only when the client are opened. I think maybe it have a detection algorithm running on client and when it detects something, he take the screenshot and grab the data from it.

By the way, does anybody knows how to "decrypt" the code like Kekando and Amoaz did?
