I disagree, it's very easy to make something without a story line. I'm not asking for something that has creatures, and npc's in it, I just wanted to see what his nature looked like, and maybe his buildings.

When I mapped for Red, he gave me minimal constraints. There is a certain amount of creativity needed to be a mapper, and if you are given to many constrains then you may as well not be the one mapping. If you can't figure out something to map without getting told, try looking at pictures, (of nature for example) and try to replicate them in your maps.

Do you not understand what im trying to communicate here? You gave me nothing. I had no clue what you wanted, What you expected, Or quite frankly how you wanted it to be, I worked with what you gave me, Which was nothing. Next time try saying something other then, A small island

I spent time giving you tips, and references as to where you can improve your mapping. You should be thanking me, but in stead you want to be hard and say that "I gave you nothing."

I wanted to see your style of mapping, not mine. If I wanted to see a detailed jungle island mixed with a desert that has a waterfall and 10 bamboo trees and a hut. . etc . . etc . . do you hear how that sounds? If I wanted to make that, I would.

Do you understand my point, or do I need to elaborate more?

Ok, You cant say, Make a island, And then crucify how i made it. I made a island, I didnt detail it because you said a small island, If you wanted a detailed map the size of Kansas, You should have said so. All you said was make a map. And i made one and now im getting criticized because your not happy with how i made it. If you want a detailed map, Say so. Not i want a small island.
 
Its not the way you made it, it's size is fine, i think that he just wants more detail. I think he wouldnt care if it was 10x10 just as long as it was very well detailed ^_^
 
Demon, don't argue his advice, just say ok thx.... He just wanted you to use your imagination and he wanted to see what you could come up with....

Do you have any maps that are already made? I wanna see something that you've spent hours making, and detailing so that it looks perfect.

If you don't, just make me a small island... no more requests other than that, just be creative and detailed.

Myths, Are going to let him help map? I know that was his original post but I am just curious. Or do you need to see improvement first?
 
It's not my server, so it's not my choice. The only thing I can do is give my recommendation to Red and have him make his choice.

In my opinion, his mapping needs improvement before working on Red's server.

I'm pretty there are a few things that caused demon's maps to not succeed, I do believe that there was a big misunderstanding and lack of communication. I myself am aware of how good Demon's work can be, so cut him some slack ^_^

All im saying is the maps that i saw from Demon were not suited to Cyntara, im not saying they were'nt good i beleive they were suited to a real map ot or something so if Red opens Crystilanius then im all for Demons mapping but for cyntara i think DM is better. :ninja:

Ahh, I see what your saying. But, Demon is very capable of making maps to fit Cyntara's map qualities. Like I said, there was no restraints or orders, no one told him to fit the mapping of Cyntara. He was just told to make an Island, So he did. If he was told to fit cyntara's mapping style, then i'm sure you would have been more satisfied. :peace:
