Should i get windows 7 or XP again?

well guys Im gonna get a new windows now, so i wana know which will be better windows 7 or XP? I play online games on the computer, map for tibia..etc scripting,html..blabla, so will windows 7 be okay for this stuff? or should I get XP again? (im already XP)
 
Windows 7 has gone pretty far, and is pretty much better than XP right now. It also has alot of nice visual effects, and supports all the latest games. Unlike XP.
 
ONLINE games, not the "big" ones.

Been using windows XP for a long time also, now I have my new laptop where windows 7 was pre-installed and I can't say I can complain about it. Everything works.

Neither, a computer is not measured for its Gaming Capability, it needs to do
much more than that and have very good accessibility and good performance,
don't waste your money on Bloat-ware(that includes XP, but not as bloated)
where there is light, secure and efficient OS than MShit LOL, try Ubuntu!

look at "file system", under it is NTFS that is Windows Partition and the
the one with ext4 is Ubuntu Partition make the difference in space
consumption, Windows XP is about 15GiB less than Vista but still is bloat,
both have the basic softwares installed like AV, Browsers and
such. Go to Ubuntu homepage | Ubuntu and download Ubuntu, burn it to a cd and try it
with out installing it and if you like it, install it!

by the way XP is dying, Windows Corporation will stop support xp in just a year or two.
Games will stop support it and so on...

You shouldn't go XP unless you have less than 128 mb ram.

Sorry, but you clearly don't know what you're talking about, 512mb on
XP SP2 = System Lag, the least I would suggest is 1GB on XP specially if
it has SP2 or SP3, plus with all the advancement in software that now
require a little more RAM, I have used 7 and I fail to see what's so great
about it, it claims it's simpler, but all I see is a small cabin crammed
with a whole bunch of software that you have to search for, basically it's
not as good as it says, remember that it's new and no one has laid the "Heavy Load" on it yet and Gaming is NOT the heavy load, anyways, give it
time Win 7 is just as "Rushed" as Vista.

About people say Xp is better:
it's funny some people "rush" their opinion about everything.

I had 0 problems with vista, sure it was heavy but I never had problems with it... I actually had a decent computer that could handle it.

Xp, I would rather go back to Vista seriously! rather Vista than Xp!

Same here, XP SP3 @ 512 MB, then @ 512 + 256 without any lags, freezes and such.

Some people of here do not use PC for gaming, also for less than 128 MB i'd suggest Win98.



Aaaaalso XP doesn't eat memory as hell and doesn't require much space. Well if you have good machine and you like to WASTE resources, go for Vista/Win7.
