This idea literally just came up to my head. Did anyone ever try to make some kind of single player tibia?

That would be kinda fun to be honest. People making it could concentrate more on NPC's than communication between players, which results in lots of missions, quests and miscellaneous shit, which in now days is very hard to find, even on a solid OT server.

You mean a Tibia server where you roam around by yourself? If that's the case; I've thought of it before and the idea is pretty unappealing to most. I don't know about the others but I mainly play OT to kill other people, so playing by myself would be pretty boring.

I once played a server like that a while ago and honestly it was one of my favorite servers back then. It was all custom, the features it has was crazy, epic scripts, I spent a lot of time on it and soo much fun.

this kind of server will not get that much attention because most players play for pvp or for some kind of multiplayer, myself i enjoy chatting to people in game chat , doing some teamhunts/quest...

But if its fully costum i'll try it out,
good luck with it

If it was really good and had a multi-player (PVP) option then sure I'd play it :p

Could be fun, i usually like single player rpgs. Not sure how well it'd work within tibia though.

Well it should be planned not as an "online" game I guess.....
It's could be an alternetiv for ppl that got non internet or just wanna rlx.

I also thought alrdy bout an Single Tibia Game.... but indeed I won't be able to work my ideas out.

What about some "fake players"? I mean, NPC's who walk around the town and sometimes randomely attack each other. You'd be able to speak and get to know them. I think that it would be quite fun without all these nasty idiots who go around and offend everybody.
A bit like Skyrim I guess.

If you want this type of game - don't go with open tibia. Use a rpg maker or something. Tibia is what it is because it is a multiplayer game. What you would want is a merge between both. Have it fully single player in the role of quests - storyline but leave the multiplayer aspect to remain.

People who make custom servers (propper ones) tend to attempt at team encouragement (to ensure more players {invite your friends and all that}) so it is looking at the opposite end of the scale and imo there isn't enough of a player base out there to even waste the energy creating such a server..

Nice concept but not worth using the ots engine.
Rpg maker offers everything you seem to want for a single player game - and is a hell of a lot easier to add/change sprites etc. Just it isn't free.

GL either way - if you make something of this project i will atleast follow it to see your progress :)

Solo-RPG tibia, yes I have thought about it... I'm still mapping from time to time and writing quests for my map. My idea would be to follow a series of quests from beginning till end. Well, atleast you will see like 70~80% of the map. Beside that, I have a couple of secret/side quests in mind, just for killing time or that rare item you could get from them. It's do-able, all you need to be is player friendly when it comes to finding quests, aka, finish one quest, the npc will redirect you to another npc that will have a different quest in store for you and so on. You just need a story that comes along with it.

skyrim-based tibia is what I dream of. Obviously, I don't mean that we should copy the whole elder scroll's map, but the type of gameplay would just perfectly fit into tibia.

I did it myself once based on 7.9 Tibia and the experience of playing a singleplayer Tibia was quite good.
There wasn't much game content (the monsters were there, lore, two main islands and a few quests), but my main problem was rl time.

It takes a LOT of time to do everything by yourself, maps and npcs. (Back in the days, all functions were very limited)
I would definitely try a singleplayer Tibia cause it's worth it.

I wont play a ot that I made for myself. Kinda like watching a porn i made. I wouldnt enjoy it i guess. no surprise n shit.

Anyone actually did this? I would like to play it than. no matter which client. :)
