Of course it is not. OTClient was never safe than it is the standalone Tibia client by CipSoft.
Owners can get a lot of your computer information and perhaps, private one as well if you use their client based on OTClient (you must learn how to distinguish between both). They will ALWAYS lie, even Eduardo will lie to you as well but he is clearly conscious about how this client based on DirectX3D can be exploited. Thus, I am not saying that everyone is trying to get your information, but some are doing already for sure and Ryan is no exception.
I am using standalone clients to play on their server, it is quite easy then to use third-party softwares if needed. You can also make it possible to send them fake information whenever they request certain info from your computer.
In case you think this is not how it works, then do what you consider is best for your privacy.
