Hello everyone,

I'm currently facing an issue with my client OTCv8 when used with my TFS 1.5 (Nekiro 8.6 downgrade) server. The problem is related to stuttering or low FPS while walking.
  • When I walk or run with high speed (for example, speed = 1500), the character movement feels laggy or choppy, as if the client is running at very low FPS.
  • It happens especially when moving side to side and it becomes very noticeable at higher speeds.
  • This issue only occurs on OTCv8.
  • When I test the same server using Mehaha's client, everything runs smooth and well-optimized, even at high speeds.

What I Tried:

  • Adjusting speed values and testing different FPS settings in the OTCv8 config.
  • Using various graphics settings (VSync on/off, FPS limits, etc.).
  • Comparing both clients (Mehaha vs OTCv8), and the performance difference is huge.

How can I fix this issue in OTCv8?
  • Is there any way to improve smoothness or FPS when moving with high speed?
  • Do I need to modify the sources of OTCv8 to achieve the same performance as Mehaha's client?
  • Could it be related to the walking animation interval or rendering loop in OTCv8?

Any advice, optimizations, or source modifications to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated!

With cipsoft original client, everything runs smoothly, there’s no stuttering or lag.
Well, I guess v8 is the problem, right?

------------------

I think there's a commit about 'GameNewWalking' for v8
but I don't know if it will work in your case
if the cipsoft client works fine, you should not make any changes on the server side.
