To make it clear: the new map will be merged with the old Komic's map (current TFS map) or it will substitute the old map?

It will not be merged with the old map, it's being replaced.
 
New mapping will be shown tomorrow, tonight I have no access to take screenshots. Perhaps Clinten may post more ;)

It doesn't looks bad, but it looks a bit empty try to add a few more details as small plants and a few debris.
