Hey, just wondering what you guys thing is the best operating system out there

Windows is best to just use (not so stable to host on), linux is best when u host (more stable then windows).

i think debian is better but i never use it..

for general use, Windows 7 for sure, but for hosting, a UNIX-based OS is the best

It's somewhat good if you have SP2.
I could atleast run AoE2 on it without having to kill explorer.exe each time.

If Xp is in the list Vista should as well.
Seriously, I'd rather use Vista than Xp.
But Win7 is best of them all.
If you know 0 about how hackers works. then Linux is the best for you.

Same here, AoE3 was a different story though.

Windows 7 is like XP but better, that's why it's the best.

I voted for Microsoft Windows 7 because I have used it my whole life, however I do equally respect Apple (OSX Lion) and I will in the future buy their system.
