I hope that it will eliminate every single botter from game. More info: Tibia - Free Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game - Forum

How it works?
BattlEye will not let you play the game if you're running any other program that brakes the Tibia Rules. It can also block Tibialyzer, No ping etc. but Cipsoft dont say that these programmes will be "blocked" for 100%.

It won't stop the botters but it will definitely make it more difficult for TFS to follow newest protocol. It will be harder to stay compatible with the original Tibia Client when we don't have the BullsEye server component.

However, as the BullsEye client software can't run for the flash client in the browser (most likely), there must be a way to avoid having to run BullsEye on the client. Otherwise they would have to kill flash client. So bots will continue to work as long as flash client is alive.

Ouch.

thats false trust me flash client is actionally way more anti-cheat supported than normal client :) Adobe aint fukin with nothing

Nice, at least they chose something that works on Linux.

Haven't they already signaled they want to ditch the Flash client? That piece of shit was like 10 years late to the party, Cipsoft created a Flash client weeks before Adobe discontinued Flash and years after everyone knows Flash is a pile of old, unsafe, slow junk.

Maybe its good? It can "end" the mediocre wave of rl map servers. From an OpenTibia platform stand point the only thing we need is the tibia.dat/tibia.spr format to again access to items/outfits/effects/project tiles.

Sadly, there will always be a walkaround...it might be harder but eventually but will figure out a way to stay in business

As @Don Daniello said, it won't stop bots, and it will suffer OT community.
It's just trick to bring old people back and make them buy pacc "because bots will be gone"...
Also, BattlEye is spyware, it send information about your computer/files to their server...

Who cares about information? Most of popular multiplayer games got battleye.

This is exciting news. If this works... You think popular OT's can afford this anti - cheat tool?
If this really works... I don't see why CIP wouldn't reconsider opening old school servers...
Or at least return on some of their old decisions that made the game more fair for non cheaters but were terribly boring.
Tibia can become a cool game again if they don't have to worry about botters ruining it all the time.
