The Ruins of Verda - Deman's Maze
Long before the chaos on Verda, a man with huge visions for Ortho lived and worked in the Sanctuarium.
His name was Deman Soulhunter, he dedicaded his life in the hunt of the demonic creatures settling in the deep caves of Ortho.
In his desperate attempts with expeditions to slay and vanquish the souls of the evil he thought of a new, better way to wipe away the evil.
With help from the ancient sorcerer Aiden Smith, he built the mightiest trap humanity could ever imagine called the Xevadyrm.
Aiden had studied many years of a power source which could create other dimensions which could be used for good... or for evil, he said himself that he wanted to find a new home, a place with no troubles. But living alone would lead himself to insanity he thought.
The Orthadists really had no clue of what to think of the experiment and how bad it would backfire on them all, that was the case, noone knew if it was good or evil what they did, but Deman convinced everyone it was for the greater good.
When they got their hands on the powerful orb they were searching for, and placed it on the ginormous pillar in the Ortho East Wing power source.
Deman's Trap had been activated and within the flash of a second, the entire Ortho was turned into evil, demons and creatures from hell wandered the city and Deman couldn't understand what he had done, but the wise Sorcerer had a plan.
He knew that the only way the demons could survive outside their dimensions, they had to remove the orb and capture them all into this orb and send them back into the Xevadyrm.
As they arrived to the Xevadyrm, Deman knew that he would have to saccrifice something to bring everything back to as it was. Aiden told him some last words of advice "for Ortho, son". Deman nodded and stroke the orb, he went into the Xevadyrm and the gate closed down. Noone has ever seen Deman Soulhunter since then, we could only ask ourselves what happened to him. Old tales says he was destroyed by the demons in one the dimensions and some tell him he's ruling another world as evil.
But years later, the orb was found outside the Xevadyrm, which had to mean someone was still alive. The Deman Soulhunter project was sealed shut and was never spoken of again.
There are many secrets within Ortho.
