Greetings Dragon Slayers!

I guess everyone knows that Beta V3 is scheduled to finish this week, as our original plan assumed one month of Beta server and its closure. We are listening to your constant feedback and decided to extend Beta V3... indefinitely. From next week, server Beta V3 will be renamed to Beta Live, which will be available for you with no closure date.

As usual - there is a "but". Our original plan to run a few Beta servers across time, with the major updates in gameplay and client, is still a thing. So, there will be a Beta V4 and so on... You may ask us "how Beta Live would work then?" - the answer is simple: all characters from future Beta servers will be merged to the Beta Live when the given server should be closed. We also have this unusual idea in mind that Beta Live could be a server that would allow players to "merge" their characters across a given account. What it really means is: most likely you will be able to boost your selected character with the experience / skills taken from another character.

One last thing - the map & gameplay. Right now, Beta Live will be using the very same snapshot we have right now on Beta V3. The major changes related to gameplay will be published only on the next beta server (Beta V4). When this server closes, the newest gameplay will be applied to Beta Live.

Oh, I almost forgot... Starting tomorrow morning, enjoy double exp on Beta Server, for everyone, until the April 1st!

What's next for 3Dragons?

Another year is behind us without any major changes in the project, I personally don't know the mechanical side of the project at all, on which I worked from the beginning, on which our 3D client is based, so 2025 will bring a lot of changes, as an old hand at Real Tibi 7.6 - 8.0,this year I decide to deliver a project with a functional and playable RL 8.0.

I would like to reach as many people as possible who know the map, the game and the mechanics inside out, so this year I will devote my free time to this project.

Roadmap
At the end of January BETA_RL_1

The year 2025 will allow us to improve the map, tasks and client for the official start of the server.

Gaining experience will be slow, so we will not reset it until the official start.

At the end, we will decide what we will do with the server, I am thinking about the remuneration of people who will participate in this event.
since I will still rely on ronengine, it will keep the diversity, I am thinking here about monster power -25% / +25% and weapon upgrades with gems
The task requires rewriting all quests and NPCs for usage and item ID, so I'm working harder on this project

Additionally, each supporter will receive an appropriate amount of Dragon Coins that they can use in the game.

was just thinking about this recently, really excited to see how the gameplay will be..
 
Despite the 3D graphics, and other improvements, don't forget that this is one of the real RPGs (I mean the old game) there were a lot of secrets and unfinished things so, I'm waiting for it :)
Even if you spent so much time creating this world, reconstruction, the server should be based on hard rules everything 1x.
Personally, for me the best solution would be to make Tibia completely 3D with a camera image and zooms of individual objects, preserving the atmosphere, not graphics or systems, but the game from version 7.4-7.6. Me? Automatic joining.

Beta Rookgaard -> Mainland

1736438500022.webpInitially, the server will only be available with the island of Rookgaard without the NPC Oracle, which brings level 8 characters to the mainland.

In stage 2, the Oracle will be added and you will be able to leave the beginner island, everything you collect after leaving will be transferred to the mainland, and your statistics will be automatically recalculated for the selected vocation, i.e. your health and mana.

If all goes well, the server should be available to everyone next Friday or Saturday

Implementing everything will be gradual and time-consuming, so we will start with a very low experience gain of 2x

This will, above all, allow new players to become familiar with the game itself and its mechanics

At the end of the test server, which will be available at all times, we will decide together what we will do with your characters.We have a few ideas for this, I will share them with you in a while.

I feel bad for you honestly. You've been working on this for over 7 years and nobody has an interest in playing.
Hope you've learned things during this time because thats the only positive I guess.

I think an incredible project!
Its just that nowadays there's a lot of competition, but its a good project.
Wasted years? for me, the real waste of time is going backward in life.

When CipSoft started, it had fewer than 100 players.

The expected 3D should be more diverse for the audience.
For example: they could change the mountains and add terrain, and some wouldn't actually be climbable.
The player's camera should be close-up, like in Lineage or WoW.

For normal attacks/defenses, classic PvP, for spells and runes, i think the BodyCollider could have a smaller zone, so that the players movements and jumps to "dodge/miss a rune/spells" would be larger, using float movement instead of sqm.

Imagine the player in PvP trying to jump on top of the MagicWall, or on top of other players, just the effect of the jump, but without actually jumping! But only low things like tables and chairs, without needing to move sideways.
It would be hilarious if a dwarf used magic as a weapon, hit the player with a hammer, and the player managed to fly to a Magic Wall.🤣
 
The game is visually beautiful, but I have an RTX 4060 and the game is lagging on my computer, even though it says it's running at 144 FPS. I'll test it more, but the idea is brilliant, it's really cool.

It could also be the server, since I'm in Brazil.

I'll test it and give some feedback.

It's very difficult to level up and leave Rookgaard with the main items.

Make Tibia in 3d i think its a cool project! Incredible job u did! I think there is some people who will like it! But i think buff speed on char a abit on start, like WOW then not adding speed so often like in standard tibia., and remove those fogs when u walk and make field of view available, its a part of the whole 3d I guess. And those boxes appears etc what are does for? , a bit hard to walk with arrows (old school player) I see potentials here ofc :D Big and great project! Dont let people trash ur post! I know its a beta keep going! Tested on a 4070TI and 14900k BURN processor! got some stuttering with 60 stable ping, otherwise it work!

The lag you’re experiencing is very likely caused by the server location — it’s hosted in Europe (Germany), so the distance from Brazil can create extra delay, even if the FPS counter shows 144.

About the slow early leveling: the game currently starts with the combat mode set to defensive, which makes it much harder to break through the first monsters on Rookgaard.
In the next client update I’ve already changed this, so players now start with offensive mode instead of defensive.

Regarding performance: the game is quite heavy because of real-time generation and full 3D models, but there are a few options that can help:
• use Game Level View to limit how many floors are rendered
• disable Post Processing
• disable Show Light Effects

I’m also working on fire effect optimization, but it’s not ready yet — this should further improve performance once completed.

This project is something I’m developing as a hobby, and the visuals are still being improved step by step.
It won’t be for everyone, and that’s completely fine — but thanks for checking it out and sharing your opinion.

Are you instancing the tiled rendered? I mean, you dont place a new object in the game per tile, but an instance instead? Should cost you way less and be more performant
